I will say good call on that one .

I was a bit surprised in general that Vivio actually went down. Figured she'd move further through this thing. But made it more interesting and was kind of rooting for Miura anyways. Especially with how Vivio kept just going after her head like that. Not that giving your opponent a concussion in this setting is a bad strategy.

Will say I probably enjoyed that last major kick for Miura a bit more than I should have .

Well in the end is kind of odd we have this thing out already when we pretty much discuss about it a long time ago… but what the hell I want to touch on it a bit.

The fight already has been going for so long that at this point I think we really get the point so the extend of it really goes beyond what I call reasonable or even entertaining. And most of it is just a fight with some comments on it. What bugs me a little are two things mostly and they are both near the end: one Vivio does use an attack On Miura and hits her but doesn’t seem to have effect because she was injured. However we clearly see Vivio was injured in the left arm and she hits Miura with her right arm. Then what happens later is just confusing. Miura moves to the side while Vivio punch her and she punches Vivio in chest, then Miura jumps up while saying “Down!” way over Vivio’s head and in the next page she is kicking Vivio in the chest like if she just jump forward. Is already a problem just having fight scenes but the sequential artwork here is a little odd.

But why is Vivio "unsuited to combat"? She's the clone of a woman genetically engineered for combat, who was also a legendary warrior of great power.

How does this equate to being better suited to a librarian job?

Her combat skills during the battle on the Cradle were mostly the work of the Cradle's defense systems. Vivio's true strengths mostly lie in her superb parallel processing/multitasking, which would make her rather gifted in the Infinite Library, for example.

On the other hand, it also makes her well suited for counterattacking in combat.

Or something along those lines. Keroko and Kaijo could probably give you a much more detailed/better explanation than I.

Well actually I believe was the Saint Kaiser armor and the Relic which elevate her powers to be able to kick so much ass. Still wonder how she can be the perfect clone of one of the strongest mage that eve live and be so weak but she is.

The Saint Armor was just a defensive ability. And for the Relic... well, we STILL don't have a bloody clue what they're all supposed to do besides being a power-up. But for actual combat? That was apparently mostly just the Saint's Cradle defensive systems using the combat data Vivio had picked up. And Quattro being kind of a bitch.

Wasn't suppossed the Kaiser Armor was being powered up by the Cradle itself o.o? Maybe the relic doubled as a sort of super powered magical.conductor?

On the matter of the Sankt Kaiser, according with ViVid's flashbacks it seems Olivie was much more fragile than what story sugguests.

No, seriously, this is one of the more crappy plotholes of Vivid. They give a somewhat decent reason for Vivio's defense sucking (she doesn't have the Saint King armor anymore, though how she lost something the booklets state is genetic is beyond me) but how she suddenly also sucks in offense? Never explained.

Well, in StrikerS we learned the Sankt Kaiser was some sorth of all-powerfull Jesus Knight or something. Comes ViVid and we found Olivie was kind of a frail girl that even got maimed in war and was in need to use prostethics to keep on the fight.

So Vivio, without the relic and the Kaiser Armor is merely a clone of that frail girl who become strong trough unknow means. Vivio must find a way to be strong herself just like Olivie did.

I'm still not 100% convinced but certain pics were discussed right here and some people brought stuff about Olivie using prostethic arms. Guess will need to wait till someone better versed in japanese read those or for the scanlation to catch up with those flashbacks.

I don't think losing some limbs is any measure of you being weak in Ancient Belka, even if you are the Saint Kaiser.

Hell, that reputation only really came about after she died, didn't it?

It's obvious that a lot of her reputation it just idolism that comes with being the object of worship, but Einhart does confirm that Olivie was crazystrong.

Olive has been, so far, the strongest mage alive but she did use robot arms. However I am not sure why. We can see her taking off one of her arms and show it to Claus in one of Ein flashbacks during her fight with Sieg. I was mention had something to do with the Black Jeremiah and the technique of the strong arm but is never mention if Olive lost her arms, born without them or decide to take them off so she could use the prosthetic or if she had bad health at all.

So looks like we're finally getting what everyone's wanted from the beginning: chapters dedicated to Ancient Belka.

At the party Einhart and Seig talk about the past, we see Olivie and Klaus first meeting as kids, various other stuff like Klaus looking at the Cradle, etc. Looks like everyone is going off to do more research... At the Infinite Library.

Well then, I guess next chapter will determine once and for all if Yuuno has really been completely forgotten or not.

Damn it, next month can't come soon enough.
