I personally think Dead Master's design is hideous, worst of all why on earth is she wearing a veil? Makes it look like her pseudo wedding dress.

I like BRS' TV design better as well. Her new coat is awesome and the new haircut makes her looks more badass and less childish. If she still has that cool flaming eye, it'll be perfect. I see she doesn't have her scars, maybe she'll get them over the course of the series (she didn't have them at the beginning of the OVA either).

Dead Master's redesign, on the other hand, is horrible. The glasses are too much, and all that fluorescent green is not easy on the eyes.

Didn't follow this thread since the start, but anyone knows if the TV series gonna follow (maybe partially) the manga BRS: Innocent Souls? Same universe at least?

Because Rock in there is quite adorable, while Dead Master is super hilarious

PS: on the character design, is the veil support to make DM seems more crazy or something? Grandma glass + veil + Rock's chain bondage, no villain gonna looks more crazy than that

I find the soul cannibalism idea flawed and annoying to watch.

I also makes DM too much of a gray antagonist. It's more fun when she's just "the villain".

Don't you find DM there hilarious through? I means the way she munched the Teddy Bear, and was close to turn Rock into her meal too. And then Rock basically was frozen by the shock...

Maybe it's their history, before DM started to turn plain evil, and Rock started to cast away her weakness. They have to come from somewhere after all

Yeah that's part of my problem with it, kind of. The whole "why she likes BRS" is really really random and just thrown in there. At least in the OVA it makes sense. I would really like their relationship to take precedence over weak ideas like the soul thing (she might as well have stolen 6mil soul dollars it wouldn't have had any more subtance). I also don't like the idea of giving BRS a concrete background; especially the really generic bullying one they use there (it degrades the character). If she has to have a background it should be something a lot more fantastic and paranormal.

And I didn't find it funny, just very fanservicy, sorry.

I doubt it'll be following the Innocent soul idea, given the trailer. That said, I prefer the BRS game design. I like the TV version too though.

I wouldn't mind a more in-depth explanation, if you can. I'm curious to hear what is "too much" for the design (I'm not being sarcastic or aggressive btw- I'm genuinely interested). Granted, BRS in the game has another outfit which while in the same vein as the classic design isn't as "expansive" as the official game one.

Guessed as much, but for half of the game she doesn't even have them (she has a change of outfit), though you won't find a design for that version around AFAIK.
