Kumagawa's won fights before, he beat those not equals middle schoolers. He basically just doesn't win anything he really cares about.

Considering he can turn everything into nothing and can't die beating her is a worthless achievement. I wonder if thanks to this when Emukae is in another position like this e.g battle she can actually succeed....

tebura..... I was tricked! But this is way more awesome than bra&jeans for obvious reasons. I guess "Kumagawa's new attire" thing was Kumagawa's new fetish... At least they are using the lead colors in a meaningful way~ (both for the story and fans)

He used Bookmaker to break Mogura. With her initial spunk, there is no way she wouldn't be broken after being reduced to Kumagawa's level. Bookmaker is a far better way t end it; there is a (albeit small) chance for the battle to continue and it's not as omnipotent as all-fiction.
And did Zenkichi just perform harakiri because he made Emukae suffer? XD

It would figure that Book Maker was ineffective on Medaka's personality purely through her Plot Armor. Because Mogura folded the moment it hit her.

Booker Maker worked perfectly fine on Medaka, Book Maker isn't a instant win in fact it's the furthest from it, it simply brings you down to Kumagawa's level and considering that Kumagawa didn't have all fiction you could still kick his ass just fine if you had a strong enough will power, intelligience skill etc. For example Hinokage and likely Zenkichi would have a minimal effect because of the way they operate. .

I always viewed Bookmaker as a tool to make any match a draw. Bringing the opponent down to his level and without All Fiction Kumagawa has no advantages or disadvantages over the opponent. So unless you're hax like Medaka the match should in a tie...this of course baring the mental aspect of the minus.

Yes, people sometime forget that Nishio is the author, not the artist. Well Nishio IS the big name, it's unfortunate but understandable.

It's because the color spread is tied to the dialogue. Kumagawa (roughly) says this is his new thing. And before that, hadaka-apron was thrown around countless times. Nisio may not be in charge of art, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have any input. It's natural to assume the idea was his when you consider how it blends to the chapter. Still, I think these are most likely mutual decisions and they only work this well thanks to the skills Akatsuki picked up from his earlier works as RIROLAND.

I was just saying that credit should be given were credit is due. Akatsuki has great art but people do sometimes forget that Nishio is "just" the author, not the artist.

^well i dno how much Bakuman represents every author - artist duo, but since that is the only insight i have about creating manga i'd say akatsuki is solely in charge of the colour pages (he might discuss it with nishio)

It would make sense for Nishio to give the overall idea since it's one of the character's "fetishes". The placement and all of that yes, should be Akatsuki only.
