I wouldn't peg anything as having a "good chance" of happening with Sumisawa writing it. He seems hell-bent on keeping fans guessing with random twists.

Hopefully they just seem random, and actually have a purpose behind them. Otherwise it's just bad writing.

I think some plot-points could and will have significance. Others, like Odin being Heero's connection to Trant Clark and the majority of the Ein and Angelina saga were poorly done in my opinion.

looking back though i have to admit this kind of thing happens a lot in Wing
Quatre went insane and destroyed a colony or two
They all had to serve Oz for a few episodes
Wufei joined the bad guys for a bit in Endless Waltz
Zechs (or should i now say original zechs) declared war on the world

just its usually the men and i just dont want Relena to die

Those were all examples of quality writing in my opinion. Some of what we've seen in the novel has just been.... Still love it though.

To your second example, Trowa infiltrated OZ and Heero and Duo were used as test pilots(the latter against his will). The other two never "served" OZ.

Wufei had legitimate reasons for joining the Marimaia Army. As did Zechs for declaring war on the Earth.

(pretty much pieced together about the new gundam fighters)

and is it that someone altered her mind when she was frozen or did she just wake up "wrong"

The boys have no canon birthdays (which is why I was so WTF at the Heero's birthday thing.. but no one can seem to explain it XD so I'll assume it's fake).

Lots of fans (myself included ) just assume the pilots' birthdays as match-ups to their numbers, hence Duo's "birthday" being 2/2, Heero's would be 1/1, Wufei's would be 5/5, etc...

I actually went and excite-translated the Wufei picture because I was curious myself- it's not a birthday picture for Wufei, it's a picture of Wufei she did for a friend's birthday.

We don't know. Bottom line right now, we just don't know. It hasn't been explained yet.

and what is now in frozen teardrop
how many chapters can either have? (its monthly right?) are we looking at buffy the vampire slayer season 8 where it took four years to get to the ending (and definately not an ending worth waiting four years for)

by the way what do people think of the new manga version thus far, i think its done well incorporating the flashbacks from endless waltz and episode zero

there is one thing that now interests me, if Mariemaia becomes a major character or mobile suit pilot
especially since
A. She grew to like Relena (enough to take a bullet for her)
B. If heero now has some of Trieze's memories (why would they do that anyway?) he could probably tell her about her mother (I'm sure Lady Une has filled her in about her dad)

thank you Kitsoru considering they already have a bunch of evil relena pictures (including one with her and heero holding guns at each other) and that someone on this forum said it was Relena who organized Miloardo's death, i thought we already had lots of examples of her new self.

Nowhere in the novel thus far does it say that Relena plotted Milliardo's death. It's not in any of the Japanese blog summaries Deacon translated for us nor do I recall us ever discussing such as a canon occurrence. That's just blatant misinformation from someone on TVTropes and an uninformed reviewer on ANN.

As for fan art, it's fan art. Emphasis on FAN. Besides, holding guns at each other is commonplace in the Gundamverse. Neo and Murrue do it in the second SEED Destiny OP with his mask in the foreground. It didn't spell doom. Being masked doesn't equal a death flag. Besides, she just surged up in the popularity polls (from 20 to 7), and you don't kill a popular character this early unless you're seriously trolling and want to lose your company some money. Relena's very popular in Japan, a stark contrast to fan response to her in the West. So while Western fans can want her dead all they want, the chances of that are highly unlikely. With Bandai and Sunrise needing to make a profit, fan polls have more of an impact nowadays. It's the reason they elevated Feldt's role in 00 after she did better than Marina. Seeing how much stock they put in those polls, I really don't see a death flag. Also, if they want to slap her picture on a Gunpla kit, they can't kill her off early for sure. And believe me, they will want to put her on a Gunpla box with the poll numbers she pulled in. Besides, she's a Char. Chars sell.
