Too many to say which one is the best, a few notable ones for me are code geass (Beautiful Emperor, The Master and Continue Story FTW), Umineko (Really brings out the atmosphere, and I LOVE the visual novel OP). FMA theme songs, Evangelion and finally Cowboy Bebop (Catchiest OP theme I've heard, ever)

I've always really enjoyed Yoko Kanno, so Cowboy Bebop holds a special place in my heart for the music. I was also really impressed with the music for Samurai Champloo.

Lately, I've been getting into the 7-Ghost anime, and I'm really impressed with that music as well. There are some very ominous moments in that story, and the music compliments them really well.

My favourite soundtrack by far, is from: ef - a tale of memories/melodies

My second favourite would be Clannad.

Then other anime would have a particular pieces which I like, such as:

Bloody rabbit, Will, Reminiscence from Pandora Hearts
The Hishoku no Sora piano piece from Shakugan no Shana
Will of the Heart from Bleach, and equivalent sad instrumentals from Naruto such as Sadness and Sorrow (heck, it made me tear up several times)

My favorite would have to be:
Naruto-I love the music it calms me and hyps me up and I've been a fan of it since I was 9
Inuyasha-well I love all the themes and stuff
Vampire Knight-Awesomest
Dazzle-Awesome
Thats probably it...

I'd say Clannad After Story (Which somehow manages to be my favourite series ever, contain my favourite character ever, have my favourite opening ever and my favourite background-music ever... Damn this show is good), followed by Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (Which is also my second favourite series ever... How extremely convenient!)

ef - a tale of memories/melodies probably qualifies too.

I'd have to say my favorite soundtrack is the Baccano! soundtrack. It's got an obnoxiously addicting opening theme that reminds me a lot of Cowboy Bebop's. Every track has it's own incredible Jazzy feel to it, and it plays very well. Whether you're picking it up in the episodes or listening to the tracks on their own, you can sense what emotion the individual tracks are meant to give off.

/Instrumental nerd.

Interesting. I thought the Baccano soundtrack just dragged out for too long and that a lot of the instrumentation just melded together without a way of differentiating each track. That's sorta why I prefer OH! Edo Rocket and Bartender for my jazz fixes.

While I lean toward zzero's opinion about the Baccano! soundtrack as a whole, I do have the OP as my ringtone. I never have a problem distinguishing my phone from the ones around it!
