Going back to the size of S2 should be great. Phablets are for narcissists.

bought this speaker yesterday on amazon: $139.99 no tax+ free shipping.
Creative GigaWorks T40 comments: i would have bought it as amazon's product for $129.99, but they stated it'll be around 1-2 months for them to have it in stock...lol...no thanks. i'll use these speakers for my super computer and when playing my ps3 games on my Dell U3011 monitor. i have a really good sound card, so it'll be good with these speakers. i'm not planning to blow the house down, so these speakers are good enough for me. that and i dont want a huge boom box (bass) laying around. i preferred a somewhat portable speakers. just waiting on these to arrive now...hopefully, this week would be nice.

^ why, is it that bad? i read some of the reviews and thought it was pretty decent.
perhap you talking about the prices? i'm looking for speakers that are somewhat portable with decent sound+bass without that fat bass laying around. i only found this one to be good. i dont really like the Bose speakers much...overpriced and bad quality from what i bought from them last time. >___>; i'm still going to have to wait for these to arrive and then see them for myself if i really like them or not.

I only have to keep it a year and I do get a turnaround in 30 days if I think its too gargantuan ... but yeah, I consider "phablet" an accurate derogatory term to describe the trend. OTOH, all the other attributes I love (takes an axe and readies to trim off half an inch when it arrives).

^ i've a 5.1 surround sound speakers from Logitech. i only bought these Creative Labs one
for the portableness. oh yeah, my 5.1 speakers are collecting major dust right now. the one i have really have a huge bass. i just dont have any room to fit them anymore... i'm also going to use that Creative Labs one for headphone usage as well since it does have a headphone jack to stick it in. and you can contorl the volume+bass+treble on the speakers while listening to the headphone. that's a really great deal for me right there when i was looking to buy the speakers. the sound card i have was a ASUS Sonar Essence one. it's pretty nice, but cost quite a bit of $ for a sound card. http://www.amazon.com/Xonar-Essence-...nar+sound+card

Creative Labs went through a "really bad period" of producing utter crap. I honestly don't know what the speaker tech specs look like these days. Typically, I repurpose home theater stuff if I'm not on studio headphones.
I find it annoying that it is rather hard to get useful data from product descriptions any more (like, most say 20-20K but response is never linear and they don't give any graphs now).

are doing ok now since i havent heard anything bad from their speakers...at least from reviewers. cant really 100% trust reviewers, but they are something to think about. them speakers were already shipped today, sweet. i'll be able to get them on Thursday 28th. if these speakers turn out craps, i'll never buy another Creative Labs speakers ever again. we'll wait and see. i dont think it's going to be that bad...hopefully.

YEP! It is the fastest analog oscilloscope ever made that is capable of reading up to 1 GHZ.
It originally retailed for $31,000.00 US in 1978. It is perfect for working on VHS/VCR, Laser Disc, DVD, and even Blue Ray burners since the primary use of an oscilloscope is to test diodes and capacitors in addition to circuits. I've used them (not this model) in the past for all kinds of modifications and repairs of high-end computer boards (like the D925CVX, Intel motherboards that were among the fastest Pentium 4 boards made). As I said, I wanted it for my side business because it is a fully operation, and calibrated 7104 and that model (like all of the 7000 series) had a bunch of plug-in modules for a wide variety of uses. Ebay is filled with tested, working, and calibrated modules available for the 7104. Needless to say, as a Machine and Electronic Geek, it is a sort of like people who prefer analog cameras for better control of their picture development. Digital is nice, but analog has its strong points as well even if it is considered "obsolete."

We had these in my college electrical engineering lab and I used them when I was working support in a neuroscience lab. They are *fabulous*. I hate the new scopes - too few buttons with too many overloaded functions. This puppy you can take a picture of and have a record of the settings.
Dare I ask how much it set you back?

So far it's set me back only $600.00, but that's because I still have to buy the 1 GHz probe (another $275.00) and then there are all the plug-ins available (amazingly quite a few in excellent shape). It is a great scope for computer work.
