Doesn't surprise me too much. Although I've always figured that gamers are slightly healthier than average because greasy foods make it uncomfortable to use your keyboard... <_< Conveniently for us, the average weight of the world nowadays is absurdly high, so it's quite easy to be healthier than average.

Picture please and then we'll talk

I think the social aspect is what really does bring forth the females. I've heard of a lot of my male WoW friends (i hiss at the game) bring their girlfriends or female friends into it, just cause it becomes an extension of their social gatherings but this can be done from each person's home.
Then again, I've heard of the pussy whipping that happens within guilds concerning girls too. Most times, they're given an easier ride concerning raids or special items, perhaps that's another attraction for some females? (The attention.)

It becomes convienient in that sense.
But outside of mmorpg's how many women are out there playing RPG's, beat-em-ups, sport games, first person shooters, platforms and the rest?
I doubt that figure is as high and outside of working at Sega for a while, I've yet to find another female street fighter sparring partner, (who can give me a run for my money) I just gotta take on the guys

By swapping the package with a Christmas cake destined to a newspaper workplace clearly indicates theft. So, the two of them decided to give themselves up even though nobody realized anything was stolen from the start? Or were they that desperate to eat a Christmas cake? These actions are either suspicious or indicates that the two guys are clearly morons.

The impression I got was that they stole the cake and put a random package in its place so that their boss or whatever wouldn't be suspicious about a missing package. That random package happened to be credit card data. I have no idea why the missing credit card data package would be less suspicious (maybe it wasn't out for delivery yet?).

We are talking about people that, instead of using the money they get from working to buy a cake, thought it would be a good idea to risk thier jobs and jail time to steal one. I doubt they thought their master plan that far through.

They probably had a lot of packages to the same address - the bank. They figured one wouldn't be missed. The paper, OTOH, may have had a lot of letters but only one package - the cake.

But really lets say you consider yourself overweight if you are presented with a form that asks you if you are "healthy" would anyone answer no? even in the case where you would consider yourself unhealthy.

That said, from my own experience I would have to say, while I doubt their credibility, there is some truth in their findings.

Not sure about the other parts but the healthier part is probably not too far off. From personal experience, i could sometimes skip meals (mostly breakfast) to play a game. Since even proper meals get skipped, titbits and stuff get even less chance to be consumed.

Thoughts of sex 'can cause some people to sneeze

Quote:
By Kate Devlin, Medical Correspondent
Last Updated: 3:30PM GMT 19 Dec 2008

The embarrasing condition is caused by a fault in some people's nervous system which sends a signal to their nose causing them to sneeze when aroused, according to a new study.

While rare, the condition is likely be significantly underreported because sufferers are embarrassed about discussing the problem with their doctor.

It could even run in families, like other common triggers for sneezing.

Dr Mahmood Bhutta, a specialist in ear, nose and throat conditions at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, said: "It certainly seems odd, but I think this reflex demonstrates evolutionary relics in the wiring of a part of the nervous system called the autonomic nervous system.

"This is the part beyond our control, and which controls things like our heart rate and the amount of light let in by our pupils.

"Sometimes the signals in this system get crossed, and I think this may be why some people sneeze when they think about sex."

Dr Bhutta began to investigate the curious link after a visit from a patient who complained that he sneezed every time he had a thought connected to sex.

Others suffer the embarrassing problem after experiencing an orgasm, according to the research.

When Dr Bhutta and his team asked about the problem in internet chat rooms they were surprised by how many people admitted anonymously that they started to sneeze when they became sexually excited.

Around one in four people are known to occasionally sneeze in response to sunlight, a condition for which researchers believe that there could be a genetic link.

More rarely, there are entire families who sneeze when their stomachs are full, according to Dr Bhutta's research, published in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine.

*sneezes*

What are you looking at? It's not sexual fantasies; it's the sun!

That's very interesting, by the way. I always sneeze when I come out of class into the midday sun. I thought it was pollen or some sort of allergy, but if this article is right, then I know the real culprit now! *shakes fist at the sun*

ROTFL. Good one! But don't forget that you should also claim to be sensitive and love small kids (even those who spit up at a drop of a hat!) and animals.

I got that a lot when I was a kid. It stopped happening (luckily enough) midways through my teen years.

McDonald's beefed up crowd for burger debut

I was thinking of trying out the Quarter Pounder sometimes in the coming weeks, but after hearing that McDonald's had to hire 1000 people to make their queues longer indicate that the Quarter Pounder burger probably doesn't taste very good. Speaking of which, why would McDonald go as far as hiring 1000 people to wait in line as a means of common business practice? Pretty silly.

I don't know if they're like the quarter pounders in the US, but here they taste pretty much like the regular burger, except they're bigger. They might have different toppings, but I always custom order a burger so i wouldn't know. I wouldn't go out of my way to try one, nothing really special.

I've heard of companies hiring people to stand on lines before though. People may hate lines, but if the see a lot of people on one and have free time, they tend to follow suit to see why it's so popular.

Especially in Singapore where "long queue = good food" seems to be the national food theory. And usually, it has a 50/50 chance. Like for example, in Chinatown. Half the stalls are good, others are just cheap and cheapskate. And some just get retired relatives to boost the queue. Therefore, buyer beware.

Everyone there just looks for some Makansutra/Channel U rating cert and form a queue. Man, those ratings don't always tell you the truth. Or I just have a different palate from KF Seetoh. Still, queues at the Causeway are worse.

Queuing for an hour just for food is something i don't quite understand. Any place with more than 4 people in the queue is enough to put me off. Worse come to worse, i am perfectly fine with just just meat buns or instant noodles.
