The Toriko anime will be losing it's timeslot to Dragon Ball Kai as of April 6th.

are they ending Toriko the show? its been a while since i read the manga but it seems to be changing the story some what with ep 143....ya i just reread chapter 245 of the manga and they are starting to change the story at the end of ep 143 looks like a anime original ending or something

With the way things are in the manga now I was thinking they would do a anime original filler for a while or even stop the show for a while the way Fairy Tail did. both ANN and AniDB show Toriko with 148 eps now

Ugh, after butchering the awesomely violent Toriko/Starjun fight in episode 142, they did the same to Ichiryu/Midora in episode 144. The flashbacks were also very condensed, but with only 3 episodes to go, I guess that's the only way the show can cover the manga up to the last pre-timeskip chapter (263).

hmm, interesting...

most series that ends with anime original usually stop there for the anime.

not to mention the series is suppose to be "dark" with lots of people dying and destruction, instead of like in the anime it became "light"

Guess the manga version was too "dark" for kids to watch on TV, especially with all the "gore" and stuff...

And here I was looking forward to the Gourmet arc. (well... not really, since they did a huge time skip in the manga too...)

Feels like Toriko series is ending, guess all those crosses with one-piece and dragon ball wasn't enough.

However... they did place the "Human World End" in ep 147 end.

So that might mean they're still doing Gourmet arc, but we can probably guess it'll be different than the manga, cause of certain changes.
