Well, that was an OK ep (even if the food fetish is getting a bit much). It was great to see the Minami bros. but really, I'm getting Touma overload - she's had more screen time that Haruka in the first 3 eps and looks to be the focus of #4 as well. Enough is enough - she's a good side character, but not that good.

Did anyone else notice that high ratio of pants to skirts on the girls in this episode? Or am I just a pervert for staring at their clothes?

Either way, it's a good sign, pants are sexy.

Yay for Fujioka!!!!! He's actually making progress in his relationship with Kana, albeit slow progress. I don't have much hope for Hosaka getting Haruka but he's still my favorite. Great curry song(I wanna download it) and nothing can beat his laugh.

Man, that was a lot of food... I think someone already said this, but it trumped Lucky Star 1 in that department by far.
This episode was definitely slower compared to the last one. I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way, since I'm also a big fan of slice of life shows, but the comedy level is down.
This episode gets high marks just because when the show ended, I sat there going "What, it's over? What?" and immediately started craving episode 4. 30 minutes is not enough!

Minami-ke is sorta like pudding...

in first season he actually has a good chance "if u remember what happen"
it would be awesome if it were to happen ( just imagine Hosaka reaction )

now he basically has no chance

Yup, OK ep was OK. Gets bonus points in my books for Touma overdose (with a side of Uchida <3).

Yeah, it's good to see Natsuki again. He's just how i remembered him.

Touma has always been wonderful, so i'm glad an episode focused on his lovely self.

I sorta laughed that they essentially used a WHOLE EPISODE for one punchline.

Damn it Hosaka you are almost there with sisters' criteria and approval! You'll have to just show Kana your genius. And oh don't strip in front of them.

That way it will be easy to set up an Omiai with Haruka.

Though still have to get past Takeru oji-san as Fujioka found out.

If their wacky wavelengths happen to connect and if Kana is blown away by Hosaka's cooking, maybe she'll become smitten by him. It would certainly complicate matters, particularly in Hosaka's quest for Haruka.

Then Fujioka going into full deliquent Bancho mode over it!

But no worries as Hosaka has dealt with delinquents before. He managed to tame Natsuki and make him join the Volleyball club.

Unknown to him his greatest rival as of date is Natsuki who may have raise Haruka's flags if Kana is right.

Touma really is getting a lot of screen time. As much as I like here, especially when she is around those that think she is a boy, she needs Mako-chan with her. I really hope he makes some kind of appearance in Episode 4

Okay, just things I liked and my thoughts on some parts.

7/10 because the apple sequence just didn't work for me.

And btw, don't know if it's been brought up in previous Minami-ke threads, but I've always been wondering why Kana's so different from Haruka and Chiaki. Could she possibly be adopted or something?

LOL, so far I must be the only one who found the apple scene to be one of the best examples of dry humor he has seen in a while

Personally I prefer this kind of slow paced episodes so I'm all for it if the show stays like this. Yay life.

To explain certain things Fujioka notices in Touma's bag, she hastily covers up by saying "They're Chiaki's" in order to protect the secret. The combination of the two revelations breaks Fujioka's mind. Later, he begins trying to ask Touma for relationship secrets. Alas... People have spoken most of the things about the episode already but spoiler for safety: Spoiler for ep 3: ...duly noted. I will not get between a girl and pudding. Not a good idea. Horo is clearly the solution to this apple dilemma. If only there was a way... The moment Kana mentioned the box, I was going "NO, UCHIDA, DO NOT look in the box!" It couldn't be more of a trap if Mako-chan were inside it (as many of us clearly wished). Although Mako-chan is less obvious... Kana knows Uchida well enough to know that not only will she certainly be tricked into looking in it, Uchida is almost certain to get caught (unless Kana wasn't really going to the bathroom...) I can already see Chiaki sabotaging future Haruka relationships, and possibly earning Haruka's wrath for doing so. You can see Chiaki already has some sort of ideal future male in mind for Haruka. Edit: I was reminded. Touma, drinking milk straight from the carton? And eating all their food? And going to their house to sleep? Where do you live anyway? Of course no one asks how writing "100" could be any more obvious than writing your name. I thought Kana would somehow get Keiko involved in the conversation... ...duly noted. Perhaps I should always have spare pudding on hand, just in case. Preview: So...Haruka asserts her Banchouness on Kana and Chiaki in front of Touma and Touma receives a lesson in the natural order of things. Man, that was a lot of food... Oh Haruka, I don't get the power of sweets either. - So, it really looks like they're gonna be using the OP & ED as scene dividers... I really don't like the ED not at the end. - lol wait Haruka, apple jam? o.O - Okay, I really didn't find the apple sequence to be interesting. Feels more like Okawari material to me. - haha, Chiaki. She just wants to be with Haruka, that are why there's no suitable candidates for Haruka in her books. - lol. the creations based on the misunderstanding. Curry-flavoured cookies and cookie-flavoured curry? I won't mind trying the cookies. 7/10 because the apple sequence just didn't work for me.
