Being AKB fanboy is not a crime. Shouji Kawamori made an anime about them and it didn't make him a bad director.

Pretty nice VA cast to the main girls it seems which is definitely a plus to me for it, since quite a few of them I really wanted to see get more roles especially Yuka Ōtsubo, Minami Tsuda, and Nozomi Yamamoto

But why? Wouldn't this cause a conflict of sorts? Or it would show some aspects of the story that wouldn't be focused on by the anime?
