Hi All

There's this anime that's stuck into my head and been trying to remember its name for days now.

I watched it like 8 years ago and it had a typical lame story, but my subconscious wants to watch it again

It was about maybe a girly pirate boy who finds some kind of bluish haired alien girl in a box and she had super powers, the boy is stubborn and keeps doing suicidal stunts and just never dies.

The boy initially refuses to use her as a weapon but later they end up with fusion or something ...

And there was this usual evil empire that wants to kidnap the girl to use her as a weapon, later things get complicated and her dying mother sacrifices herself to save the boy.

It ends with a relatively happy ending after around 24 episodes.

I might be mixing some stuff with Skies of Arcadia, but this is what I can remember

I don't remember every detail about her mother but it's most likely Erementar Gerard.

Hi! Please help me with this anime which I only vaguely remember but would love to finish watching.

There was some kind of epidemic going around affecting people and sort of turning some into monsters and it wasn't too scientific. And there was a small group including the main character who had to take a road trip towards the cause of the epidemics and/or the center of events.
GUILTY CROWN and ZETSUEN NO TEMPEST seem to more or less fit the description, but I watched both, nope. DEVIL SURVIVOR is not it, either.
