It died due to a lack of artists, as well as due to a lack of new content for the original series.

I am here. Though I was only involved with general ideas related to converting the original stories to genderbent versions. I was not involved in the Visual Novel projects in any particular capacity.

I don't rcall the original project getting much into book 8 and certainly not books 9-10B.

I thought some of the group wrote the Tropes page for the Genderbending of Haruhi. Or the general focus on Kyonko.

Well, not everything, but a large chunk of the art assets we needed (or, rather, that I wanted) weren't produced.
I don't really blame anyone, I was being way too ambitious and this was the result.

Welp my holidays are coming up again and I'm willing to give things another shot, if there're still things to be done. Because Kyonko is great justice.

Also because I can actually sortta use the brush tool now and need something to practice on.

Not even the writing was completed. Don't get your hopes up.
There's something else related to this that I've been (trying) to work on for a long time now, but to finish it I'd need a lot more free time and motivation than I currently have.

I would prefer to release a complete and finished product, if anything.
Additionally, if I were to design a visual novel today, it would likely be far shorter and more condensed than this project was intended to be, so...

Again, such a thing would only materialize if there were the resources and manpower to even accomplish production of just a demo. Stuff that we just don't have.

Not much to say outside of that, and those limitations had always existed. It's just that motivation and creativity was easier to come by back then, even though in reality we didn't have the abilities and resources we needed. Now that this franchise is pretty much in hibernation, there's not much to talk about.

In all honesty, I'd like nothing more than to do justice to these projects. Who knows, maybe after Kaisos and I have graduated, and if money weren't an object, we could eventually do something.

But for now, I wouldn't bet on it.

(It's fine if the BG is copied--classrooms look pretty much alike once you get past elementary school. Nice shots of Kyonko though.)
