If you get successful criticals in a row the game can end in 2 rounds. They appear to be the fastest way to victory and makes all others look poor before them. I mean the best defense is offense, right?
So, 16 critical cards in your deck, plus as many of those Amaterasu ability to see the top card and place it at the bottom if you like. Screw healing and blocking; if you can win in 2 rounds who cares about those? Intercept is good and not a trigger. Hoard it. Soul burn is good for all unsuccessful triggers to be offered there. That ability to go back instead of the monster being overaped is also an easy way to yank a few extra attack without wasting a card on it. Hoard it as well. This looks so easy to beat... |

It seemed like his strategy was winning quickly by just putting the strongest attack of each level in his deck so they were guaranteed to go through or whittle down the hand. The lock down slowed the opponent down so he would have a speed advantage too. This episode was basically "monster effects matter more than raw power."

Oh, well. It could be worse. It could be Saki. Can you imagine it, Saki, but with little boys instead of all that yuri? |
