The radio drama was started in Ookamic RadioII today.
A title is "A wolf and honey pickled peach" which are one of the side stories.
The first episode is played from 37:37 to 43:06 within the following streaming.
(It will be available until August 25.)

http://www.animate.tv/asx/r09080043_muw7lm_nb.asx

The casts are Horo/Ami Koshimizu, Lawrence/Jun Fukuyama, and Clare/Rina Sato (Haruka Minami/Minami-ke) who is radio drama original character.
It is released as CD (60 minutes) on September 16.

It is faithful to an original novel because it is still the episode 1.
But it will turn into a comedy before long.

Hi guys,

I lived in France where S&W novels will probably never be licensed.
Do you know where on the Internet I can found an english translation of them? I saw Baka Tsuki made one but their translations are a bit chaotic with many holes (for instance many chapters of vol 3 aren't translated although they began to translate chapters from vol 4, 5, etc.)??

I have to know ABSOLUTELY the future of Horo and Lawrence !

Thanks guys !

Spice and Wolf volume 13 Side Colors III is released on November 10.
"After the gold smuggling disturbance in Rubinhaigen, Nora retired from the shepherd and went on a journey with Enek.
It is the 3rd collection of short stories in which three stories containing the newly-written novelette "Shepherd and black knight" were included!"

Nora re-appearance in side story!

There is only BT. No one else do them if you talk about fan-translation.

And it is not chaotic its just that many translators work and take different chapters and some do not have the time after taking chapters and thats how some of those are left untranslated.

Not sure if you heard about this already, but Isuna Hasekura, the author of Spice and Wolf, has launched a new project, a manga: http://ranobecafe.wordpress.com/2009...hes-new-manga/

I wonder if it'll be any good, or have any story elements similar to Spice and Wolf. ^_^

Hmmm, that actually worries me a bit but we'll assume the author can multi-task for the time being.

According to ANN, it will be on an irregular schedule. But then Isuna Hasekura is a student at Rikkyo University according to Wikipedia.. so who knows? Sounds like a pretty good multitasker to me since he has time to write an award-winning novel about pagan wolf deities and oppressive-sounding medieval churches while attending a christian university

Um, I was under the impression Isuna was a woman, not a man.

Hmmmm, the name "Isuna" seems to be female but there are a number of Japanese names that are ambiguous in gender (rather like english names usable by both genders (http://www.yeahbaby.com/popular-baby...e.php?page=144)). I can't find much on "Isuna" (and most of the references turn to "Izuna").

The author's blog is little help (though the author seems fond of kitties) so far in reading. Many mangaka, especially women, take some pain to be as faceless and sexless as possible. There was a lot of head-scratching over the author of Lucky*Star as well. People seem to be surprised when they discover that the Ichigo 100% author is female, as is the author of Toradora. blah blah, so forth and so on.

Ah, here's proof - the author is male: Scroll down to see a picture of the author with the voice actors.

Vol. 3 was finished the last time I checked, and so was Vol. 4. You had me scared for a moment. I thought someone had gone and erased my work.

We're somewhere in volume 5, and volume 4 was skipped entirely for now.

Lawrence did broach - or at least came within spitting distance - the subject of Horo staying with him instead of with her pack. And Horo told him to stop. It wasn't an actual refusal - she just signaled that she wasn't ready to make that choice, and that just thinking about it was painful.

So his hesitation isn't the usual Cannot Spit It Out. It's perfectly reasonable fear that if he pushes now, he'll lose it all.

Just for clarification, did you mean I was wrong in assuming that Lawrence expressed an interest in having a deeper relationship? That seemed to be the whole reason that Horo got jumpy in the first place.. or was there something else I missed?

I don't think you were wrong per se. It's just a matter of where I put the emphasis when I said it cast a different light on Lawrence's hesitation.

Are the side-stories considered canon? The side story about Horo's future seems...weird because its like the author gave us already the ending we're gonna get :|
