I've gotten the Kokushi Muso at least five times in my Tenhou playing career...one of them came in a game where I was on the guest "NoName" account but it did happen.
I've never had one where I was waiting for all 13 tiles, as far as I know. At least you have a positive average score. Mine is somewhere between -1.00 and -1.50 after a couple sessions tonight. At point it was as low as -4.00 several months ago thanks to a long spell of dreadful games.

At one point, I even had a 34% 1st place percentage and <20% 4th place. And the numbers are slowly reversing. My hands are not coming together and I've been either drawing tiles that I don't want but others want, or I've been losing simply because others tsumo with big hands when I'm the dealer. I would say my luck varies on the extreme. Either it's very good or very bad. |

Same here...I had a spell of bad luck so demoralizing that I literally stopped playing on Tenhou for 3+ months.
I used to go on hot streaks and cold streaks one after the other. Now I tend to go on cold streaks more often but they are interspersed with lukewarm streaks.

WTF is up with that luck, not even have I never gotten a Yakuman myself, but the few times I've been in tenpai or isshanten for one it's already the last third of the hand, so most of my winning tiles are already gone D:

You know, getting a game where all of the players are good defensive players can be both exciting and boring. Exciting cause you got everyone reading and double reading everyone else. Boring after the 5th exhaustive draw in a row with everyone bailing the second someone declares riichi. I just got one of those

I think I just used my life share of luck here. I was East on the first hand of the first hanchan... and we never got past that. I got +90000 points by the 7th bonus hand.
How can you show the replay of a game? I have never been able to find out how. Spoiler for images:

How to access replays in the Tenhou log:
Tenhou keeps track of your games (I think the 30 most recent) in the main menu. On the bottom, there are three drop down menus. From left to right, they are "Menu," "Test Play," and "Cancel." Click "Menu" and pick the first option (highlighted in the pic) Now, you should see this. Depending on how often you play, you may either see a lot of games or very few games. There are three tabs on the top. Click on the third tab and you will see this. Just copy and paste the URL into your browser. I think you might also be able to save them to your bookmarks so that you can watch old games again whenever you want (not 100 percent sure on this since I've never done this before) or you can send the link to friends so they can watch (also not 100 percent sure if people who don't have Tenhou accounts can access these).

Yeah, I forgot to mention the three buttons to the right.
First one controls how you want the replay to be shown. It can either be shown within the current window, as a new pop-up, or as a new browser window. The second button (I think) controls whether you want your game history to be erased. The third button closes the window. Trans, good job with the Suu An Kou. I almost had one the other day but someone RON'd before me. -__-

Thanks. Honestly, I wasn't trying at all to get the yakuman. Was only trying to get a mahjong, otherwise I wouldn't have called riichi. I almost got a 13 Orphans and one of the wind yakumans one time, but someone Ron off someone else or someone else tsumo'd.

Arguably the best English website I've seen dedicated to all things Tenhou:
http://arcturus.su/tenhou/ You can even find your records. Go to L7447 Records and type in your Tenhou name into the search field. Marvel at my horrendous stats: Under my current name. The record of my former name.

@Proto:
lol, +91 °_°......my best was +73 i somehow lost motivation thanks to a loss-streak the last week........ btw: Zorro is my nick, look at my miserable stats... atleast you can't drop rankings by getting negative points added to already 0 points... perhaps i start playing next week again. actually, i like to play Mahjongg in RL , more like a competition rather than gambling, but unfortunately in the country i am living, it is really not famous. |

LOL my night was so horrible last night that I just got up and left.
Two straight losses, and a loss where I discarded a "what-I-thought-was-safe" 9pin for someone's ippatsu sealed my fate. I left the game but came back in...didn't want to come off like a chump and I wanted to have a shot at saving face. I had a 3 sou and a 4 sou in my hand; a 2 sou was automatically discarded when I was absent, putting me into furiten hell. "See ya!" /leaves I might take some time off and when I do play again, it will be against the lower-ranked players...the more skilled players are eating me alive @_@
