With the Magia Erebia flames as the symbol of the new OVA (sorry my poor english, I'm not realy good with synonyms), how can they picturize so much events in mere 4 episodes?

i can easily see how that would work ...

1: running around in UK, getting to MW and getting scattered
2: starting to find each other ending with the first Negi/Kota team battle
3: Rakan training and futher finding others
4: Rakan/whatshisnameagain vs. Negi/Kota Battle (maybe only last half of this OVA to make a bit more time)

Meh, who cares about the OVAs... it's just an extra full of fanservice, stick with the manga.

they follow the Manga quite closely which is more than you can say about the TV's ...

they're actually quite good as long as you don't expect a gecko-ending or a gag-show

Yeah, but so far all the OVAs mainly concentrate on are the fanservice chapters... so it really is nothing but fanservice.

Let me see...
Ala Alba 1: introducing Negima-team (since TV's have not much relation with the original manga), explaning the reason of the journey to MW.
Ala Alba 2: introducing new character (Anna Kokolova... Pretending to be russian name?) and giving a lot of fun and fanservice.
Ala Alba 3: Introducing secondary characters: most dialogs are plot-related.

As you see, there is not only fanservice like in summer and spring OVA's.

Well, mayby they haven't got budget as big as Naruto's, so they can't picturize the school festival?

I completely disagree about the OVAs only covering the fanservice chapters. They've been quite faithful and through adaptations (unlike the two TV series).

while it aren't sexual innuendo'esque Fanservice i do give you that all the OVAs are Fanservice in the original context, that its done purely to please the fans

Whell, to begin with, the manga series was fullified with fanservise. Ala Alba OVA have not more of it, then original manga.. And it is quite accurate adaptation.
At least, I liked it much more, then two TV series, that was quite "mid-level" anime for me.

Oh, by the way, how about, for example, FLCL OVA?
All the difference between OVA and other formats for me is the length.

I must say, the first episode preview leaves me somewhat disappointed in the quality of the work... I would have expected the OVA to be worked on with a bit more care.

You think so?
I thought the animation was rather smooth.
Didn't expect much out of Shaft, but this surprised me.

@Maedhros: You can change the setting to see Sigs

Good news:

Quote:
Kodansha’s homepage for the Maho Sensei Negima! ~Mou Hitotsu no Sekai~ OAD series has formally announced plans to release a Negima feature anime film in 2011. The movie is being produced in response to especially strong sales of the OAD releases. The 3 episode Shiroki Tsubasa Ala Alba OAD series reportedly sold a combined 242,000 copies. Demand for the upcoming 4 episode Mou Hitotsu no Sekai series is so strong that the first episode will have an initial production run of 70,000 copies. The first DVD volume of the Mou Hitotsu no Sekai series will be included in limited edition copies of Negima manga volume 27 that go on sale September 17th.
