That was just a great little shot of her in front of her computer, in the dark, probably reading instructions on how to build a pipe bomb off the internet.

Just what every parent dreams their little girl does in their free time.

From this episode it doesnt 'look like homura couldve done anythiing to save the other girls. When Sakuya is involved she is too stubborn. Mami cant handle the truth. Kyoko i just unlucky.

And if Madoka becomes a mg it looks like eveything is wiped out, even if she defeats al the witchs. So we have 3 scenarioa i think.

1) she defeats walpursnacht. Turns into a witch later on, bbut we get a happy end foor the moment.

2) Madoka becme a MG, defeats wapurgnst...second season later.

3) madoka become a MG, hoomura has to timeleap again )that wish didnt account for what she currently fet like doing). Bad end.

I am pretty sure your statement is sarcastic but if it's not...

Spoiler for yep, I am stupid enough to consider that you might not be being sarcastic:

I like how after the third time-line, you can almost literally see Homura snap. She's definitely a little bit off-kilter by this point.

I find it funny we're stuck in a cycle because Homura is bent on protecting Madoka, but Madoka also ends up wanting to protect Homura.

Kinda funny when both of you are willing to sacrifice for each other but it leads to this neverending cycle.

When this new twit to the plot came up, I couldn't help but think of Homura as Bill Murray.

so I guess the theory that what Homura lacks in power she makes up for in skill is proven to be fact.

Homura may be the first girl in this series who is really fighting all she can for her wish. QB seems impressed by that.

She's a true friend. She's willing to repeat and suffer the torture of losing her friend over and over again. I guess that explains how she had the cold personality to mask her true one...but I guess she only reveals a little of her soft spot only to Madoka. But of course, Kyuubey has to messed it all up.

If she keeps failing , I wonder how many more arcs will she have to go through until she gives in to despair and become a Witch . I Suspect that Witch Homura will be an early Walpurgis Night for the Madoka caught in it .

I think , within a month , someone would write a Witch Homura vs Madoka Fanfiction.

I think that WN is actually Homura....

Sadly if what I'm saying its true we will know how she can end the time loop....

I still wonder why she changed her look

A fallen Homura existing across multiple Time-lines at once , and manifesting as Walpurgis Night ? I'm not too sure though . Apparently , Kyoko has heard of Walpurgis Nights before , so that seems to imply that it's a repeating occurance , though not a common one.

I suspect Homura changed her looks to give herself a more "aloof" and cooler look. Meganekko Homura , after all , would have it much harder in carrying out her strategy. I suspect it's also a rejection of who she was in the past 3 reiterations.

Giant Heidi pigtails don't exactly lend well to the "I want you to be scared of me the moment you see me" image.

It would be like Batman wearing plaid.

Probably , it's part of her strategy. But I suspect , it's a way of completely disassociating herself with her Pre- Puella Magi self.

By the time she shed off that clumsy look, Homura was angry and indignant, having seen too many times watching her companions die needlessly; she needed vengeance, to settle the score and to stop the vicious cycle once and for all, no matter how many times it would take her to end QB's scheme.

It was also a transformation of personal character, one that means: "You don't want to mess with me when I'm angry."

I don't think it was anger, but rather steel resolution.
Due to the tone of the narration, she was bringing herself to do anything it takes to protect Madoka. That's arguably not something in line with vengeance or anger.

This contrast got even more emphasis with her change of look: she always thought herself as a weak coward, unable to do anything.
That wouldn't do for her mission, therefore, she basically discarded everything in order to accomplish her objective. Which leads to that transformation, both mentally and physically.

And her hair flicking is because Madoka told her that she should act as cool as her name sounds.

The hair flicking is due to the bakemonogatari author also working on this.

Even if you're joking, that's probably exactly right. I completely missed that.

Yeah, I'm serious. When Madoka first told her that she should act cool it immediately jumped my mind "yep, hair flick on its way!". That part at least has some significance as shown by Homura's reaction to when Madoka in the current timeline said "Your name's kinda cool".
