Romance Manga (no love triangles)
PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE POST BEFORE YOU RECOMMEND ANYTHING THANK YOU
Hi. I'm looking for romance manga that are similar to Suzuka(all time favorite). Pretty much I'm looking for romance manga that focus on 2 people nothing like Peach girl. No love triangles or harems. I know that their is always a 3rd person trying to intervene in the relationship, but as long as the main character does not take the entire manga series to decide which girl/guy he/she likes is ok. some the qualify so far are Mysterious Girlfriend X (like it a lot) Kare Kano. Unbalance x Unbalance. (although so far their not a couple but you can tell) Change 123 (Action/Romance you can say that this series may qualify as a harem but all the different girls share the same body so I don't know). Kimi no Iru Machi (is pretty new so far there is a fierce love triangle going on, but is the same author as Suzuka and Suzuka kind of started the same way, but then it got really good) Futari Ecchi (Excellent series, dont really mind the ecchi stuff) some manga series that do not qualify so you get an idea are Ichigo 100%( harem, good series but is not what I'm looking for) Peach girl (perfect example) I would like mangas that are already in their last volumes or are already finished. I started reading Junai Tokkou Taichou but it seems like in their lasted volumes (not yet translated) the main male character disappears and the main female character starts getting into another male character (kind of like peach girl). which is what I'm trying to avoid. so as long as the love triangles don't last the entire series and only 1 or 2 chapters I'm ok with it. also for those that have read Asatte Dance I like and dislike this manga because half the time you cant really understand if the main female character is really in love with the main male character or not. It is resolved in the end but it seemed rushed and unexpected. Also the series does not have to strictly be about romance(action, comedy, horror), just as long as romance plays a BIG role in the story I'm ok with. No gender bender stuff pls. For something that hardly has any solid triangles, but a GREAT story, you could try Itazura na Kiss. I've just finished seeing the anime and the manga seems even better.

No, Love Hina has lots of love polygons, not even a single triangle. That's the very definition of harem mangas.
As for another romance manga - which, admittedly, could be considered to have a "triangle", but a very non standard one, if you should choose to categorize it as one - is Skip Beat. Give it a try.

REC is ongoing, but theres a good 9 volumes out its pretty much the relationship between a typical office worker and a budding idol
Koi Kaze, be warned theres incest at least it fits your criteria. DearS Chobits Genshiken i guess though romance is not always the focus, basically its lots of couples and what not. |

I'll recommend Bitter Virgin. It's a drama / romance about a highschool girl that was abused when she was younger and now she simply cant interact with any guy... and there is this popular guy that at first wanted to play a prank on her because of her shiness and ended up getting her trust and finding out her past...

Give Toshiue no Hito a try. It's almost completely focused on the main couple.
Maybe I'm weird, but I was more concerned about their age difference |

Nodame Cantabile and Lovely Complex.
These are pretty much the best of the best whe it comes to romantic comedy. If you're looking for more melodramatic things.... well, I really don't know (I just don't like melodrama).

I would Highly, Highly recommend skip beat. Nakamura sensei is amazing at the characterisations. The first couple of chapters are a little slow, but once you get into it, you seriously get addicted to it... Another manga you could try is Kaichou wa maid sama. You can also try Kiss by Matsumoto Tomo. That manga's got some dry sense of humour, but the mangaka is generally one of my favs.
