This is kinda an old one (volume 13), but turns out that Sakai isn't actually the oldest child in the family. edit: (sorry) He had an older brother who died in childbirth.

and that's why Yuji's name is spelled with a 2.

well Yuji's name has a 2 in it (in the japanese version) so his intended brothers name probablt had a 1 in it, and he requested that his brother to be's name had a 3 in it..... theres been speculation tht he could have asked for tht as a final reminder of his existence

well i'm hopin neither of them disappear at all, i'm still guessin that Sairei No Hebi' plan to "Change The Truth of The World" will do something good instead of evil(though it would probably be sumthin that's not universally good), but if 1 of em goes i'm guessing the other will go too.
