Odd, I'm experiencing difficulties.

Mine crashes at black screen when it reaches the point in which Virgilia is scolding the Seistas for taking so long to reboot and then "Sorry----" and it sticks to black. Musics loops once and then only the wind effects continues on.

I'm using Umineko on an external could that possibly be the problem?

An external what? HD?

I'm using an external hard drive too, but there's no reason that would affect things.

Did you make a save right before the issue so you can see if it happens again?

Maybe. It isn't a problem with the patch since mine worked fine.

I have a feeling maybe my comp getting too old (It does this sometimes with my HD nowadays)

I'll try reinstalling the game on my internal.

Question, are the saves still existent after I uninstall the game?

Just copy all the files from one HD to the other (no need to go back to the installer).

They are. Your saves are specifically under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Umineko4final if you're running in XP.

Agreed with MagicToxin above. Thanks so much for all your hard work on this. I just have one suggestion for the Grimoire in the future:
Spoiler for Beato and Gaap's first conversation in the meta-world:
It's just a thought, since I was surprised those weren't in green.

We try to limit the green text to only things that could completely stop a reader cold if they don't know about them.

In other words, references to other shows, places, or people are kept out unless completely essential to understanding the game.
Also, having too much green all over the place would hurt the flow of the game.

Still, we probably could have put that in the doc file included with the patch. You'll find it there when we next release a patch update.

As explained by Chronotrig, there is a limited use of the green, since it would be a bit unpracticable for technical reasons.

That said, thank you very much for this information! I will add these in the grimoire doc.file for the enxt version of the patch (you can expect it for some revisions, typo fix etc).
