The opening for season 2 will be "Voice" by ZAQ. The single will be released on 2014/01/29 in LE (1,800 yen) and RE (1,300 yen) formats.

The ending will be "Vanishment this World" and sung by Black Raison d'être. Its single will be released on 2014/02/05 for 1,200 yen.

Overall reactions to episode one were very positive. There were many tweets last night saying how entertaining everything was, so I'm quite pleased. I can't recall the pre-air events last year having this much of a positive reaction, so take that for what it's worth.

The new season will have episodes focusing on different characters. Everything else said that wasn't spoilery has been said before, so there's no need to repeat it. Basically, look forward to the new season and enjoy!

Edit: Forgot to mention the official title. This season is now called "Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren" (中二病でも恋がしたい！戀) Ren is an older character of koi, so that's why Ishihara picked it.

Thanks to our good friends at Animax, we have the plot summary for Ren! (some movie spoilers, but you'll see it in ep 1!)

Due to various events, Yuuta and Rikka are living together. This secret co-habitation is so exciting for the two lovebirds! Or so it should be...
Is having a chuuni girlfriend too high of a hurdle for Yuuta, who never even went out with a normal girl?!
Yuuta worries about how to advance his relationship with Rikka.
And then everyone else, Nibutani, Kumin, and Dekomori, have powered up by advancing a grade.
Furthermore, the cause of his chuunibyou outburst in middle school, the girl who calls herself Sophia Ring Saturn the 7th, Satone Shichimiya appears...
This is the long-awaited second season of the adolescent romantic comedy revolving around chuunibyou that makes you laugh and cry.

Shichimiya's relationship to Yuuta, that of being the person who inspired his Chuunibyou, sounds like it could be the push Yuuta and Rikka need in their relationship.

I can see Rikka being jealous, or at least anxious, after meeting a girl who had such a profound effect on her boyfriend.

Some stuff mentioned in the articles from Ishihara:
Kumin will sleep again this season, but she'll also be involved in chuuni-ish events. It's a bit early to talk about, but she'll get wrapped up in a "sleeping battle" of sorts. (Ishihara laughs)

While it's not chuunibyou, Nibutani becomes someone who can take a joke and talks in puns more.

As long as Dekomori's around, that won't go smoothly. Dekomori looks like this due to going on stage as the new class representative, showing grace in reading how she should act. Though she and Shinka still quarrel with each other, their relationship has changed in season 2! For some reason, Dekomori changes her attitude towards Shinka after coming to know Mori-Summer's true identity. While Shinka is curious and takes an interest in Rikka and Yuuta's relationship (no progress even after living together), Dekomori worries about opposite genders living together, though she believes in Rikka.
