Yes, Vocaloids are considered human.

To sum it up like this:

The image has to be recognizably nonhuman to someone who would have no idea who that character is. Color changes are not considered nonhuman because we all know anime takes a very unrealistic approach to hair and eye color.

Cat eyes, completely black eyes, robot eyes, those could work. Purple eyes, no.
Snakes for hair, wires for hair, those could work. Purple hair, no.

Well to be technical, he's not human. He is being kept alive by a mechanical heart so he's actually a cyborg.

But to someone who didn't know that.....he's just a buy in a metal suit. BUT, if you think about it, he's just wearing a small version of a Gundam. So I'll let KiNA handle that one.

The character in focus in regards to Iron Man is the suit, not the man behind it. If it were just the man with, say, pieces of armor on him, then it wouldn't count because then the focus is on the man and not the suit.

If I took a look at Iron Man and I had never been exposed to him before, I wouldn't be able to tell if he was a human or a pure machine. It should be allowed.

To what Solace said, I don't think it matters if it's technical or not. That is referenced to KiNa's comment about Arcueid; even if the person wasn't human, if the person looks like a human it doesn't matter. Cyborg or not, there's no way for me to tell if I had never heard of him.

Just like someone is piloting the Gundam but the focus should be on the suit, the same deal would work with Iron Man. Tony Stark however, probably wouldn't fit so well.

As a reminder though, we are trying to stick with anime/manga sources for the contest. I've made a few exceptions in the past but that was because the theme creator ok'd it. KiNA has stated that he doesn't want non anime/manga sources this month. So Iron Man signatures aren't going to be accepted anyway.

Cool theme. I think I have a good character to use, but I'm not sure if any good source images are out there. I'll have a look-see. I hope I can compete this month, because it sounds interesting.
