This one even has the TV Asahi logo on the bottom, but I don't recall seeing this version at all either on Crunchy or in fansubs.
I'm not sure but that's the song sang by Risa Taneda that runs in 4:13 minutes in the full version right around 9.9mb in size? There is always another way...

TV Asahi's broadcast of ep1 had that as the ED, whereas later broadcasts had the proper one, including CR because of their delayed 'simulcast'.

Unrelated to the issue at hand, but what a fine mistranslation...

That was before the group realised the chorus was in two parts. Still, I have faith in the soap bubble.

Listening to it again last night, I wondered if Taneda sang both parts of the "call-and-response" section of the song, or is someone else singing the responses? Hanazawa perhaps?

I didn't watch the fansubs until fairly recently, so I missed that.

Now, there is one ost that freaks me the f*ck out...

The second movement of the New World Symphony... When I first heard it a few years back, I thought of a calm relaxing wave but when put in this show's context, it feels almost surreal, creepy, horrifying...

Always happens to the songs you had an attachment to. *sigh*

Yeah, I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to that symphony without having Shinsekai yori flashbacks. (The same happened with Gankutsuou and Tchaikovsky's Manfred, luckily(?) that symphony is not very popular.)
