Yay, nice idea. I think all-girls school recently become co-ed is good idea a.l.a. Seitokai yakuindomo, and Ichika is one of the few boys recently joining.

It does happen IRL, because at that age, they think having a boyfriend that scream MANLINESS (sic) is cool, if anything, either wild and naughty boy, or aloof and distant boy, than outright jerk.

However, as tvtropes said, single woman seeks good man.

Anyway, Irish might be crass, but at the same time, felt weird and somewhat pleased about Maya's action. From Maya's side, Irish started as unlikeable, but the more she knew him, the more she understood and saw hi in more positive light.

Side note - you're not going to destroy that blockade.
