This anime is really giving me the impression of Japanese women as stiff prudes from the Victorian era. They won't like being groped by their lover? They won't show their panties to their lover? LOL thank God I'm not dating a Jap atm.

Well, I did enjoy that, formulaic, ecchi, and short as it was. And as HandofFate said, it was the voice acting. Matsuoka Yoshitsugu really is good. Hayami Saori, of course, is godly. And Noto Arisa (of StylipS, playing the editor) is actually a decent seiyuu, as well as a decent singer.

I've made a characters/seiyuus page, with pics of the characters and their seiyuus, and some info about each seiyuu.

The mangaka's seiyuu's vocal talents got a real workout in those 13 minutes. There were times when he sounded like 3 or 4 different people. Quite a display of range. He could use this episode as a demo tape.

For all the mangaka's pervertedness, there was still an air of innocence to it all which surprised me.

It's important to note the context here though: Aito and Ashizu are NOT in a relationship. Instead, he's her boss (this is an important point!), so while Aito himself doesn't have anything bad per se behind his requests, everything he does is technically sexual harassment.

I wish Hiroyuki would get a 24 min show (´;ω;`)
At least the quality is higher than Doujin Work, yes. But still, 12 min long... (´;ω;`)
Oh, and really noticeable AGOOOOOOO in the OP. Long, long AGO.

Aito's assumption is that just because a couple is dating, the girl is fine with showing her panties to him in broad daylight or being groped anytime he feels like it.

Note the qualifiers. It's not that they wouldn't let their lover grope them, it's that he thinks they'd be delighted to have their lover grope them at any time no matter where they were, who else was around, what was going on, etc. Likewise, he thinks that they would gladly show him their panties at any time, no matter how public the location, and so on. No matter what culture you're from I think you'll find most women would object to that sort of thing.

I know I probably should have hated this, but I couldn't help but laugh. Guilty pleasure it is then.

On another, more promising note, the seiyuu for Mangaka-san was excellent. How many different voices was he pulling off there?

It's rather sad when your criteria for quality isn't their ability to act (in a language you have no understanding of), but rather how many different silly voices they can make.

Do you know why people love to hate on Kana Hanazawa? Is it because she's can't act her way out of a paper bag? That is assuming those making the criticisms are qualified to make those judgements and be taken seriously in the first place which they often aren't. No. It's because she lacks range and as such is often typecast. That's it. We're not even fit to properly criticize over here.

We're petty. We watch a show in a foreign we haven't even begun to grasp the intricacies of. We think acting means simply emoting. We hate/love on English/Japanese dubs not because of actual ability, but because we really life/can't stand the sound of their voice.

I find it quite sad that you feel to need to lecture me on such a trivial matter. Not to mention you act like I insulted your intelligence. And you just assumed I don't understand Japanese too (I don't, though I know a lot of words by now, but you would have looked quite silly if I did).

Anyway, I don't find the work excellent because of how many voices he pulled off. I found the work excellent because of how many voices were pulled off and pulled off quite well. And it sounded funny too. You know, because this is a comedy where its supposed to be.

And I quite like Kana Hanazawa.

I'm not sure why all of a sudden, you are assuming all of us are in your position or why you're playing the "You aren't in the position to criticize!" card, but well, I'll play along.

No, it's more like Sorata to me since Aito sounded like him. Besides, despite ManAshi having half the episode duration, at least it's funny thanks to Yoshitsugu Matsuoka's dynamic voice.

Lol male VA captures his character perfectly. I didn't expect this to get a (short) anime. Well, it should be a fun watch, as long as you don't expect much development.

This is a good first episode. I didn't expect too much from the animation side of things since this is based off a 4-koma, but visually everything looks good.

Hayami is getting high profile lately from a lot of good roles. Looks like she is co-staring with Yoshitsugu Matsuoka this season again. I still hear Aoba & Hina...

Actually, Mangaka-san isn't a 4koma (I'm using the definition where four small panels are used, with 2 columns of four frames each per page), but a 1-page setup manga, unless you count four MASSIVE panels of varying size per page as a qualifier for being a 4koma. ^^;

It's not exclusively a 4koma, but as someone who has just been reading through it over the past day, I can tell you that it is very common for almost every chapter I have read so far to have segments that are indeed in 4koma format. It doesn't stick to it exclusively, but it does jump in and out of it.
