Talking Anime where a teenager/young adult takes care of kids

I'm sorry for yet another thread. This time i want an anime where a teenager or young adult takes care of kids or starts a family. I don't want too much echhi. A little is fine. Some genres i would like are : romance/drama/slice of life. The animes i saw in this category had romance so i would appreciate it if you can suggest some with romance. Also...NO yuri or yaoi please.

Here are animes i saw with the same preferences listed above:

Aishiteruze Baby
Hanamaru Kindergarten
Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai!
Minami-ke
Astarotte no Omocha

EDIT: On another note, if you have any about family, that would be great too. One example is the new movie that is going to release. That is, Wolf Children Ame and Yuki

Thank you,
Midnight2352.

A good choice is Kurenai where a 16-yo boy is made responsible for a 7-yo girl. It's a mixture of comedy and drama with a disturbing subtext.
Spoiler for namely:
No real romance between the mains here, of course, though little Murasaki develops quite the crush on Shinkarou. Most of the other characters are teens or adults. Their college-aged neighbor Tamaki has quite strong views about men, which she shares with Murasaki during some of the show's more hilarious moments, but her success with men in practice is rather mixed. Shinkarou himself is the romantic target of two girls in his school, both of whom are childhood friends.

The show, particularly the OP, has the trappings of a harem comedy, but it's just a tease.

Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. Reload?

Even though the main character is 30, I also strongly recommend Usagi Drop. No romance here either, since the girl involved is just five. Regardless, this is one of the best shows of 2011 and should be right up there on your list.

Ikoku Meiro no Croisée might also have some appeal. It's a story about a sixteen-year-old Japanese girl who goes to Paris in the late 19th century to work as a shop girl for an ironmonger in his twenties. He has a romantic interest, though it's not the girl.

Nice nice. I love your suggestions. How about one where it's about family? I think it is still related to my preferences.

Kurenai for similar reasons to what SeijiSensei mentioned.

Minami-ke - Great comedy with a bit more edge/wit/cheek but nothing untoward. Three teen sisters and the eldest essentially has to become the mother figure. That elder sister has a great maternal vibe that compliments the very different personalities of her sisters.

And while the protagonist in this one isn't young...you should probably check out Usagi Drop if you like the kind of titles you're liking. The adult is 30 but doesn't act like it in a lot of ways. It's got a great dynamic.

Minami-ke sounds very interesting. It tops the list. Thank you Last Sinner! <--- (sounds weird to thank you with that name) The other suggestions are great too.

I merely combined Last Exile and Garden of Sinners. But the combo of words is potent, I guess.

Have fun.

Daa Daa Daa!

It's a shoujo series, where two young teens end up taking care of an alien baby (that looks like a human baby of course). The boy and girl used to be childhood friends as babies but now they can't stand being in the same room with each other. Naturally, they fall in love as the three live together, like a tiny family.

Oh right, and the baby calls them "Mama" and "Papa" in public.
Oh crap.

Ok. Daa! Daa! Daa! sounds good.
Mystogan, I have always been skeptical about Beelzebub. Is it that good to be popular as it is today?

to be honest i myself have seen few beginning episodes, but it is definately enjoyable,
it depends, if you want the lot of emotional drama and lot's of slice of life with the teenager and the kid then it might not be an appropriate choice, but if you want lot of comedy and fun( what raising a demon baby by a delinquent will be like?) then it is a good choice,

one thing i am sure of that it will make your stomach ache with laughter, and i guess there will also be some shounen moments

Saw the first episode of Minami-ke and I love it!!!
I'll give it a shot then. To be honest i'd prefer the emotional drama and slice of life but comedy won't hurt. If my stomach is going to ache with laughter then count me in.

If that's what you're looking for, you should be watching Kurenai.

Seconding Usagi Drop, and Ikoku Meiro no Croisée.

And suggesting maybe Astarotte no Omocha! and it does have some romance.

Upping Usagi Drop as well. One of the best "family" type anime for me and gave me a few tear drops too.

As an experienced single father who raised a daughter from age two, I probably cried in every episode. I could relate to many of the issues Daikichi faced.
