Not really "ripping off" .. mostly just similar mythologies they're drawing from.

I'm still not clear on whether this is an 'immersive world' MMO or a 'hub-and-instance' game. If TERA doesn't start adding significant functionality by summer's end - I'll certainly be checking this out.

Subscription model is rather difficult to market lately to the MMO community these days especially NCsoft themselves have been converting their older release from sub to f2p model and having significant success with them.

Not to mention, they got GW2 on the pipeline, a full out MMO with no subscription fee. Personally, i hope they make the effort to adjust their model for markets outside of Asia. It's sad to see MMOs flounder because of their business model instead of the quality.

As for ripping off? They are all ripping off Lineage XD sexy model, skimpy armor and lolis. You can almost always tell that it's Korean just by those characteristic of their designs.

You can't really either being much of ripping off, B&S is made by NCSoft which also made Lineage which is very similar to it, Tera was Lineage III before it was cancelled and the makers pretty took off it's assest to make Tera.

NcSoft has also already sued and won that case, so it's less of ripping off and more the fact they were originally very much extremely similar/same game.

Heh, maybe players can *walk* and *emote* in this game... the only thing I'm finding a bit jarring is the stop-start-stop of the moves with no fluidity in between. OTOH... that *is* very korean martial arts-ish (at least some styles).

The fight animations are very "Matrix-y" with the aforementioned "stop-start-stop" and the "slow-mo" and "hanging spinny camera" stuff.

Also agreeing with Vexx. I'd like my loli kemonomimi to summon actually scary shit.

Like my TERA character. She summons Michael Bay.

I was just making fun of the rip off comments

, Lineage is pretty much the standard of design for character models when it comes to korean mmo. Either that or the cute chibi design of RO.
