Kiharas, Sugitani, mercenaries like Stephanie, Sunazara, Hakase, Baba, BLOCK, Silvercross, etc...
To be involved with the DS being esper is no required.

In case I wasn't explaining too well my reasoning. Frenda being a teen in the DS makes it likely for her to be an esper. (And also the fact that her sister might be an esper too for being enrolled in AC)

BTW, Baba is an esper (level 0). One of his defining characteristics is his hatred towards the upper levels for looking down on him.

BLOCK also had espers and Silvercross might be one too.

I thought all students of Academy city are considered espers. Touma should be the lowest level zero but he is still considered an esper because he's had the brain tampering done.

I think Kamachi screwed up a bit in the world building there when he make only student Espers... To this date we don't know what happen to espers after school... the only example we have was telestina, who we know was experimented on in her childhood, meaning she is an esper.

Choose your answer :
1. No mystery there, they and their families were just spirited away by Aleister.
2. The oldest generation might still be in university.
3. W-we... can't ... leave ... this city
4. Wandering somewhere in this vast world.

They can't let them just wander around, other countries various private organizations are just itching to experiment on them and I doubt even Academy City has the resources to keep an eye on hundreds of thousands of individuals and their families.

One possibility is that this esper program has only been around ten years old. But we already know that twenty years ago they already have Elise (sp). Though that could be explained by the education program not yet implemented.

3 isn't really an answer

Unless there's some new information, I think 2 is the best answer we got- That the power curriculum has only been implemented 10 years ago. In addition, more powerful Espers only just arrive on the stage recently, so the older generations are made up mostly of 1s and 0s.

Nice, now what's left is for kamachi to read this thread and get on with the idea. (Unless he's got something really great top say about it, that is)

Erm yeah no- Not going to happen

It didn't work when I was into the Nanoha series, and it's not going to happen for Index as well

eeeh! It did work back when I was into Gurren Lagann and FMA ... and by using the same analogy in Index, then what Aleister is trying to create is a new universe, mwuahahaha mark my words well, better stay calm and stoic during those difficult times

This is what I think too. Even if there have been experiments for 50 years, the number of subjects was probably very limited. Accomodating the survivors within AC shouldn't be a issue.

The real problem could start in 10 more years (as suggested in Liberal Arts SS), but Aleister's world/universe/reality/whatever rewrite plan is probably due for completion a lot sooner than that.

It would still be interesting to read what are the "official" future plans for AC... Though I have the feeling Kamachi will just leave that to our imaginations.

2 sounds like "copper days - in a daze" or something like that ... but I can't say my japanese is good enough.
3-5 are SAO novels, as well as many other as you can see, talk about hogging the ranks
7 is Baka to Test
8 ... dunno
9-10, like I said, SAO

EDIT: 8 is haganai

The ranking is a girl's favortie ranking.
Number 2 is Kagerou Days.

what kind of poll is that btw? and if rank 3-5 is SAO and judging by the Kanji of it. I see lots of similarities in kanji in the whole ranking. Talking about hogging the whole rankings indeed

it looks like the anime of SAO indeed do great on its sales. What month is that?

First I've heard of that one (then again, it's relatively new)

Is it really that good?

@tsunade - seems like the sales are from january to july, so dunno if it was the anime or it's publicity what raised so much the sales.

So because of this article, Kamachi created Thor to tap into the vast support of the female fanbase ?
