Remember, this is in the middle of the night, and Eruruw is most likely usually not awake at this time. Perhaps the introduction of one more member into the house has changed her sleeping habits or such. Now, given Eruruw's overprotective/paranoid personality (probably from having to raise Aruruw), and the fact that she was startled awake by some sounds, it's very likely she could've seen some murky shadows moving away in the distance, noticed that Tusukur was missing and then came up with the conclusion that Tusukur had been kidnapped. And yes, she is the overprotective and quick to reach conclusions type. Notice how she was very upset when Hakuoro had put himself into danger (twice) and also the fact that she sounded like she was totally startled when Aruruw claimed the tiger pup was her baby.

Actually, in the game

Spoiler for after you beat the game:

after you beat it, you get an extra "battle" where you can go around Leaf's Tokyo division offices and "fight" the various staff members. If you walk up to the Comic Party standup poster, the scene changes and you hear a "mwahahahahahahahaha" coming from behind you. Taishi jumps out, does his usual "My Brother" schpiel(sp?) and then gets kicked in the face by Yuu. Taishi, Yuu and Subaru give you some bonuses to your stats before sending you off.

I think (I hope) you misunderstand. The old woman herself nailed it. Its only a small shift in weight from "pride" to "conceit". Prideful warriors routinely overestimate themselves and get killed. Prideful warriors don't think they can be hurt. Pride is the downfall of most well-meaning people. Dante wrote a whole book about the damages that pride causes.
Being *proud* of your accomplishment i justifiable... boasting about it or not recognizing that others helped you to get there isn't.
Oboro is just the kind of young man that armies tend to put in front. Young men often run under the illusion they're unstoppable and suffer from many of the problems just stated ... and they die in unnecessary number because they're not prudent.

It really can't see something like that appearing in the anime, hopefully in a Omake or something.

I really really hope I'm not watching YET ANOTHER instance of the girl spending the whole series saying "o gods, please take me!" in every move and word - while the hero misses every opportunity to notice. Good god, at this point even the village chickens know she has the hots for him

At this point, I'd much rather see a story where they realize their feelings for each other -- and then circumstances try to separate them, pull them apart, threaten them.



edit: hmmmm, methinks I'll download the x264 version to see if its worth the difference .... I've dropped a couple of other series I was considering for now.

Anyway, Utawarerumono doesn't seem to be really a romanec-oriented story. It's more of an adventure epic than anything else. Maybe Hakuoro just isn't interested at this point.

I so wished from the bottom of my soul that this will NOT be another boring romance /drama anime. Instead it could be some awesome war/action anime with cute characters. But hey a Guy can dream cant he?

I'm just wondering, what really are Hakuoro skills ? So far what we have seen was he ran when he saw a Tiger,he looked dejavu to the agriculture and stuffs.But come to think of it.He doesn't seem to have enough abilities rather than slaughtering the Tiger that is already tied down and gave 1 minutes fight with Oboro.He may be the one who encourage to eliminate Mukitapa but this kind of decision could be came from anybody who does not have the similar belief as the natives.

eh... Robin Hood was an adventure epic and managed to entwine a love story into it. If its only a bunch of guys grunting, posturing, and smacking - its gets old pretty fast.

I guess I'm hoping for a nice mix -- more Robin Hood'ish.
