But you're ignoring how easy it is for a German tank to suffer transmission damage which shouldn't have been realistically speaking *waiting to get shot down* as opposed to the off chance you may hit that one single spot on the side for ammo rack...

I know, I whine, but that doesn't mean the bias isn't there. Then again it's all the more satisfying when you own an IS-3 with a Panther.

Speaking of which, Black Forest is seriously OP with their Tiger IIs and that Maus. The most powerful tanks the second best team, Pravda (!), has are the IS-2s. So how do they even expect a fair game if it is a deathmatch...?

Pravda probably had IS-3s which I should note were in service before the war ended, at least one T-44 (armed with a 100mm gun, it becomes a near-defacto T-54), and probably SU-152s (if not the ISU-152.)

Basically, Pravda probably has "big game hunters", which mandates a vehicle that they would need aircraft to kill.

Really, an IS-3 is tournament legal? Is it a lot stronger than the IS-2 used in episode 9?

Maybe we'd see Pravda use one if there's a season 2.

Its tournament legal, as there were already extant production units constructed before the war ended.

As for strength, well I can only speak for how it performs in World of Tanks, and it's one of the more popular tier 8 heavies, with better turret armor and a front that can bounce a lot of shots if you know how to use it. It technically uses the same 122mm (the BL-9) gun as the IS-2, though in-game it has better penetration values.

Now, conceivably Pravda could also have SUs and ISUs in their arsenal to help counter the heavy tanks of Kuromorimine, but historically these assault guns relied more on sheer explosive force to take out their opponents rather than penetration (I remember someone quoting how the ISU-152 was capable of blowing a Tiger's turret clear off with its HE shells)... Which would make their implementation in Sensha-do tricky to say the least.

You mean the D-25T. The IS-2 doesn't use the BL-9, and the IS-3 historically never had the weapon. A Senshado-legal IS-3 would pretty much be a better armored IS-2.

Story of my life. I'm just minding my business, introducing myself to an enemy tank by firing a 57mm shell, when BAM! Ammo Rack gone.

It's why I'm so eager to grind the KV-1.

I don't know if I'll buy the ADV release, since I already own the series on BD...
