I alos never said that I trusted Kyuubee. I only said that, the way he is presented, it would be way too obvious for him to be evil, and with the staff going for the non-obvious solutions, it would be odd if he actually was evil.

No. The grannies were too frail, slow and weak to stand a chance. Assuming that the mahou shoujo in question managed to live through the teen, adulthood, and physically declining years.

Indeed there was none sitting on the chair before 'Charlotte' came down, but then the doll appears at the same time when the witch appears.

Finally the witch died when Homura stepped on it.

I guess, when in doubt "Excelion Buster" the room... and to be extra safe add on a "Starlight Breaker ex" for good measure.

Imo, this is one of the worst possible prediction that I can take;

1. Sayaka heals his boy friend.
2. Mami return as a witch, kills that boy friend.
3. Sayaka rages and tries to stop Mami, but got killed anyway.
4. Homura kills Mami witch version in front of Madoka's eye.
5. This time SAYAKA returns as a witch, then kills Madoka's family.
6. Madoka is now crazy, accepts evil Kyuube's offer, then kills Sayaka.
7. Homura kills madoka, in order to prevent world destruction.
8. Madoka becomes witch, and kills Homura.
9. World destruction, Madoka suicides.
10. Kyuube wins the bet and creates another world in order to do his fun game again.

Definitely. I am confident this series will come through in the end. It will of course have it's weak points, but the story will definitely be awesome.

I won't deny it , after watching 3 ep , this anime looks awesome with an interesting dark plot.
But , i'll pass , simply cuz i'm not into Magical Girl ^^ but i hope for a good sale , this anime deserves it.

and you never read Shakespeare, then.

It seems like you are ignoring explanation that everyone said about Kyuube and such, since there is clearly more to Kyuube than just having 'red eyes'...

A lot of people in this thread seem to know Urobuchi either through hearsay or possibly just Saya no Uta.

I really doubt he'll go for a bad end. A bittersweet end, maybe, but almost none of Urobuchi's stories have a completely dark ending.

And even in Saya no Uta, both endings still have an optimistic side to them, even if it's a completely insane one in both cases. In one it's "Fuminori is happy and Saya fulfilled her wish" and in the other it's "Well at least Kouji can shoot himself in the head if things ever get too bad for him".

That's not to say that there isn't going to be a whole lot of blood and tears along the way, mind you. It's still Urobuchi we're talking about here.

I can definitely see Madoka having a similar theme, especially with the various references and correlations to Faust. Urobuchi tends to leave a light at the end of the tunnel, even if it's very faint or you have to turn your head a bit to see it.

I know most of you guys here have already viewed this one, but hell i've just found it out today, and lets just say, it disturbed the hell out of me.

Not to mention others cryptic message from episode 1-3, i wish i can understand it while watching it, it adds more to the creepy and dark atmosphere.

This was a great episode, and now has me hooked on the series, even if I was spoiled on Mami's death, I wasn't expecting it to be executed so well.

Homura had time to shine by using the exploding clones, so overall I look forward to watching this series in full, I'm hoping it continues to grow darker and darker.

Homura is my favorite character so far.
