Yoshida, Shana, and Yuji (uhhh....) should remember him. (not like that helps much. shana is used to people disappearing and was never really friends with Ike, both the girls are more worried about Yuji right now, and Yuji is well...not in the best position to be thinking about Ike.) But yeah, like all torches, Ike is forgotten by everyone else.

To be forgotten is much more cruel than to simply die.

How much novel material was written in-between the conclusion of Shana season one and the actual animation of season II? Depending on this time difference, we might have a cliff-hanger ending or a complete one like for the first season.

I don't know, when did they start animating s2?

15 was released in august
16 comes out in november
one would assume 17 is out around january.

check the novel topic for a better explanation of this, but the basic jist of one theory is:
if the anime follows the events of volume 14, then perhaps the novels will end that entire storyline (and maybe the series) in 17, thus having the anime and novels come out with the same endings at roughly the same time.

but that's just a theory.

The SnSII OP suggests it'll appear, what does the novel say?

I also find it odd that in season 1's OP and S2's, we see Sydonay wielding a spear, but so far, he's only fought through shape-shifting

apparently nothing. 0_o I don't know if they're going to explain of this in 16, but basically silver is still the most random character in this entire story.

he destroys margery's life, he infects the Reiji Maigo with what will eventually release the Snake (under the pretenses of being hired to kill pheles, but that of course was never the goal), and apparently after that he's dead, since last we saw of him part of his armor's helmet and arm were stuck inside the reiji maigo. and apparently from what Margery saw, there's like hundreds of eyes in his head and insects crawling out from his legs. (which aren't there when it's in the RM apparently, so I dunno, there's always the possibility he's...er, it's still out there somewhere...)

my offhand thought is that,
-seeing as how Yuji apparently ended up with the silver flame (suggesting silver got himself killed/absorbed infecting the Reiji Maigo)
-the fact that SotF Yuji's black flame creates a silver shadow
-that Silver was carrying around Bal Masque Hougu (one of which was apparently used to infect the reiji maigo)
-and Silver didn't really seem to have any real personality,
that Silver as we know him is just some sort of incomplete possession by the Snake of a random person (Bal Masque tomogara, torch, etc)

as for sydonay, who knows? it's really up to budget and time constraints (less frames and storyboarding for a giant monster vs. a weapon sequence -_-) but maybe he'll be seen using it this season.

nope, I didn't see any particular time when it happened or any particular tomogara who did it.

you know that the various denziens who have been coming for Shana or the Reiji Maigo consume people's existence. they never say who ate Yuji after all. Apparently Ike really is much the same.

I dunno if it was on purpose, but Shana-tan was ranting about Ike when he was playing some arcade thing...
The thing is she blatantly says he was a torch

I dunno how serious it might be, but considering the lack of coverage for "How Yuuji turned into a torch", it might be the same for Ike.
However, there is on inconsistency: why Yuuji never saw ike's flame...?

seriously, the anime is giving many hints about the tome 14, so... we might have a uber marathon about that crazy arc ^^"

well, it's not that easy.

even if you know what happens in the novels, it doesn't necessarily mean it will happen in the anime. (especially with the anime's current track record) And its not like we have next month's magazine scans yet, so there's no way to tell what the next few episodes will be about or what they're called, and thus no way to tell where things are going. Not to mention there's barely anything to go off in the show either; can't speculate on much when they've only started 1 real mystery plotline.

well, didn't really sound like Konoe was going anywhere though (unless she's the tomogara in 8...)

hmm, so an Ike episode, a Satou episode, a Margery flashback and a training episode (maybe Shana and Yuji can get trapped together in the fuzetzu? )

should be nice to see Yuji slowly rising in usefulness as well.

It turns out that Yuuji is the final boss, and he is himself (not replaced by another personality I mean), knowing everything he did with Shana with the same feeling. He just recalled his old self, as the leader of Bal Masque.

In this volume Yuuji rejected Kazumi's love, and asked Shana to be his partner and comrade. His purpose, according to his own words, is to reveal the truth to the humans therefore world could be created where tomogara and human can coexist in a way other than being predators and preys. Shana rejected this and fought with him. From what the novel described, Yuuji defeated Shana soundly and captured her.

I believe there will be one, at most two more volumes before this story arc ends. I think Yuuji and Shana will be togeter after all.

Pheles arc from episode 12-15
New OP/ED for episode 16 and on
16 until like 20 will be more boring filler (Or, maybe Margery vs. Yuji?)
21-24 will resolve the Konoe issue, big battle with Bal Masque, etc.

That would finish out a terrible 2nd season, in my opinion. But who knows, maybe they'll make a good upswing at the end?
