You can spot the "complete Robotech hater" when he finds the need to edit posts of other people for something as innocuous as using the "other name". ^^

I'll always think of the characters of the original series as with their Robotech names, sorry. I was a fan of the show for decades before finally grocking on to Macross.

Also, most of their Robotech names simply sound better to my westernized ear.

It's how I knew the character for decades ( in regards to her name ). I don't give a flip about her nationality, but I care about her actual character ( as in "her personality ).

Uh, what? I wasn't even trying to antagonize him or anything. Just pointing out how my multiple decades of dealing with Robotech have wired my brain in regards to character names of the original series.
