Are the same things listed in the Play> Filters menu with EVR-CP?

Could you please post a CCCP Insurgent log with Test Render and Media Info?
(Tools-> Test Render, Tools-> Media Info, File-> Save log and then upload or copy the text file)

Are there any particular files that seem work with EVR-CP?

The bad/weird thing is that everything looks okay so far - besides the fact that it doesn't play, of course. :/

For test render, you select a video to render. Not sure if anything will come up, but I think it's worth a shot.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try a newer graphics driver:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sear...00&FamilyId=39

Also, a large part of the log is not present.

I can seem to use EVR-CP on my laptop which has a 945GM chipset which is basically the same core as the G965.

Can you help me choose a graphics driver for my computer, because the one I tried to use said it wasn't compatible with my system.

I chose this one: Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows Vista * 32 (exe)
Installs graphics driver version 15.11.5.1624 (7.15.10.1624) for the integrated graphics controller of Intel® chipsets.

OS: Windows Vista 32*, Windows Vista Business, 32-bit....More Windows Vista 32*, Windows Vista Business, 32-bit version*, Windows Vista Enterprise, 32-bit version*, Windows Vista Home Basic, 32-bit version*, Windows Vista Home Premium, 32-bit version*, Windows Vista Ultimate, 32-bit version*, Windows Vista*>

Oh, since it's Dell you have to uninstall the original driver before you can install the generic one from Intel.com

Hopefully this one should work:

Yes. I think it would be a good idea to get a backup driver from support.dell.com as well just in case - assuming your computer is Dell branded.

Yes my computer is Dell.

OK, thank you its getting late so I will try to upgrade the drivers tomorrow or maybe I should say later today.

Also do you think if I reformat the computer and upgrade to Windows 7 Home premium the problem will be solved?

Again, thank you for your help and time I really appreciate it. I will post again tomorrow to let you know how it went.

I think that's a bit too much for a video issue. Maybe you could instead try one of the other video renderers, like Haali or Overlay.

I was planning on doing it anyways to get rid of some other things in my computer.

All the other video renderers work fine its just EVR-CP that doesn't work, weird since in CCCP 2010-10-10 everything worked fine. Again thank you for your help and I'll post here again.

Speaking of Video renders does anyone know of any ideal video renderers that work on my PC?

HP Vectra

80 GB Hard Drive

256 MB of RAM

Intel 4 Processor

Edit: My PC can play the video at least but the rendering isn't perfect. The actual display is messy and I am not too familiar with the terminology but the screen is a little "choppy" on the right side. I wanted to get a good render but I believe it is the files themselves rather the actual render. Even so, some vidoes play slowly and sometimes the screen moves still while the audio goes further.

Hi10p? To save filesize? Really?

To break DXVA - to break hardware decoding so that people with netbooks and old computers can't run your crap - really?

All to save a few 50-100 megabytes? Really?

I thought fansubbers actually want people to watch their shows. Guess not.

oh boy, it's like we've entered an endless recursion of time and it's really 2005 again and people are complaining about how this newfangled h264 shit IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLAY ON <shitty plastic toy>
JUST USE XVID INSTEAD YOU ELITIST PRICKS, NOBODY WILL WATCH THIS H264 SHIT AND THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY ANYWAY

It's really sort of funny that I have to go through this flamewar again after all these years. I sort of cringed when I read some of my posts from that era, because they were pretty bad, and now here comes the opportunity to do it ALL OVER AGAIN! It's like I'm in Groundhog Day and get to do it over and over and over until I have it perfect.

edit: actually ladholyman I'm p sure you were one of the fags that complained last time too, which I guess makes the entire thing double funny

edit edit: there is (still) no lack of reencoding groups, by the way
