This was a surprisingly decent chapter, save for the very rushed conclusion to Kumagawa’s arc, which amounted to little more than a weak victory, as it was solely derived from Kumagawa’s expectations at what has always been inevitable, resulting in Medaka’s extremely predictable return.

However, Zenkichi and Kumagawa’s speeches were great and definitely the highlights of the chapter, along with the mention of Ajimu’s return. The photo at the end was fantastic.

Still though, these last two arcs have been poorly executed, so I'd likely prefer it to end somewhat soon.

Since the Kumagawa x Medaka pairing is never going to happen, given the second brother-zoning, the sheer absurdity of it, and all of the other contextual evidence, I’m satisfied with the further indications that the story isn’t even moderately leaning in that direction, and I was quite surprised and pleased by the noted rejection in his speech and the absence of a reference towards the second button nonsense.
