I'd like to point everyone to read page 8 of chapter 15 in School Rumble Volume 1 manga released by yanime. I made sure that people would know more about kappa's then they would probably ever want to on that page. I still consider that note to be my greatest triumph as a translator.

Lol yea, I liked how then the next time the kappa thing came up in V2 you just said to read that original entry

Seriously if anyone needs more info about a Kappa after that Volume 1 note I think they need to be kicked in the head

simple just edit the scene where Karasumaru wears the raincoat
and put Kappa on the coat, this way the americans will think that
Kappa is a Company which is famous for making raincoats.
For the Kappa costume put the word Kappa on the screen somewhere
and add some bonus material on the DVD explaining it
besides they can still google for it

maybe we should put money together and licensed it ourself

btw there is a funny anime called "kappa no kaikata" (is listed here on animesuki),
you'll learn how to raise one ^^

I like the cut of the blazer but the high heel boots are a bad idea

Tenma is basically still a 10 year old kid in the head and the footwear just throws that image. IMO, the cosplayer should have used flats

on 14

It might be too late to ask this, but it just got me curious. On ep 24, Yakumo was weaing a different outfit for her work at the café. Tenma and the others seems to have noticed it and they asked her why...Yakumo asnwered it is because she heard it was in SOMEONE'S best interest. ^_^ Any idea who this someone is?? Is this actually for Hanai?! hehe

I think it was mentioned or implied in the manga but she's referring to the store owner and his hobby which seems to be a cosplay fetish or something.

Ah yes, I finally got around to watching this series because I wanted something funny to take my mind of the Kannazuki No Miko ending. ^^;

Hilarious stuff! Tenma and Harima are like soooo STUPID! XD But I love them that way. And yet, it's so frustrating because they're so stupid, and you know Tenma won't discover the truth until the last episode or ova or whatever! >_<

My friend who gave me the eps told me that Tenma reminds him of me.

AUGH! I'm not THAT thick! But I guess he meant how she was small and hyper. Because I'm rather like that.

The Matrix parody really killed me....XD I love Harima's manga too. He's rather good! Haha!

Non-bootleg dvds are available from Amazon.co.jp, Yesasia.com, and some other ones I have no idea where to get. Search for "School Rumble," or "スクールランブル". They're pretty pricey though. I think about 6000 yen for each 2 ep dvd. That's about 50-60 USD, probably the price for all 26 on bootleg.

Me, personally, I settled for the imported manga.

Well, Im not a big fan of Anime/Manga, w/e, I've only watched a few anime shows, but this one , like everyone says , Its very interesting, espeically comedy.
Do you know any Stores that sell DVD's for School Rumble [ non - bootleg ] or is it just Amazon and Yesasia?

Cuz one time i went to this shop.. it was random, my parents buying DVD's , and i was looking at this column and it had a bunch of DVD's for anime shows. [ i do not know the location ] sadly.. T.T

But actually... Is there any difference between Non-bootleg and bootleg?
If Yes, then tell me [ some of the stuff on the forum are confusing me, cuz im not a smarty ]

are you SURE the JP version has english subs coded into it? it is VERY RARE for a JP released anime to have ENG subs, especially not one like school rumble.

only JP DVDs that i know that have ENG subs are usually western videos since they also have french, spanish, other languages like shrek DVD perhaps.
