Okay, I'm getting my ass whooped by 'Worgens' in chap 5...
And to top it off, I have to fight while running on water... Great... Just great.... >.>

For me, my weapon of choice against them would be the twin swords, they seem to hack off their limbs better. I'm now at the boss fight with Volf, I can kill him through cheap shotting via flying swallow, but got pwned later by his minions

I ran into the center, and got them with a wind ninpo, and with luck I took off a limb from them each After that it's Obliteration after Obliteration... EDIT: WHAT THE HELL IS WITH THAT DAMN ARMADILO ?!

Yeah... Apparently, the Scythe does massive damage to him... This first half was easy, it's only after it get enraged that I have the most problems... After I got him down weak enough to perform Obliteration, it took me 3 more tries before I could get far away enough =_= Well, I'm now at chapter 9 and had just wasted the ugly-face Worm... Btw, out of curiousity, which of the 1,2,3... 8(?) weapons available is the most effective to you? (Doesn't have to be one)

1. The Dragon Sword, simple, effective, and the easiest to control for veterans of the old NG, powerful as hell to boot, with the new triple swallow.
2. The TCDF (Tiger Fang and Dragon's Claw), they're bloody fast, do GREAT damage, and are one of the three lvl. 4 upgradable weapons. 3. The Eclipse scythe: Best at dismemberments, 'nuff said. |

I usually reserve the Dragon Sword for Boss fights, that said, other than spamming Y+Y+Y for the heavy slashes (great for lopping off human limbs) and Flying Swallow, the only other 2 moves that I frequently try to use is "Fortune Phoenix" and "Izuna Drop"... The latter getting more and more difficult to use against the claw ninjas especially when they spam explosives =_= ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In addition, I find the Falcon Claw to be exceptionally effective against humans, at least in the earlier stages, I'm currently trying to master the LV 3 move that knocks the target into the air to set up for an Izuna Drop. Against the larger Demons, I prefer the twin swords, it provides a large radius as well as being damn good at slicing their limbs off. Like the claw though, I'm currently trying to master the LV 3 move. I'm not using the Lunar as much as I had originally thought I would... Only against really large mini bosses like that giant ape, or against swarms of... Bats and flying fishes. But recently, in chap 9, I'm begining to find the Scythe as a great substitute to all 3 weapons, and it's effective just by spamming X or Y... EDIT: I'm stuck in chap 9... How do you fight those giant Piranhas? I'm assuming you have to beat both them and the frankenstein-ish demons to proceed?

I was quite disappointed with the final boss. . . Looked cool, but not really challenging as the other bosses.

Well, agreed, he's not challenging anything less than warrior mode, BUT On mentor mode, he becomes so unbelievable GHEY, to the point SOME of his UNBLOCKABLE punches take out HALF my almost max-ed life bar. (Note: I'm not there yet, my friend who IS there let me take a shot at him) |

I'm actually on chapter 13 of master ninja right now. Needless to say I love the NG series. After warrior difficulty steps up biggg time. Best weapons against normal enemies are definitely the claws and lunar. The claws are amazing for ninjas with their flying swallow to izuna drop combo. Once you start fighting hordes of incendiary shuriken spamming ninjas you really can't afford to do much else other than izuna drop. The lunar can take out those water strider demons with its jumping izuna drop (claw one doesn't work on them). The lunar is amazing for boss fights with its XXY combo (big damage, fairly quick, good range).
The DS really isn't that great except for a few things which I like to flying swallow spam (demon dogs mainly). I also use it against Genshin for its XYY combo. The scythe is good for a few bosses and its UT is great. I often quick switch to it for an on landing UT when there is essence about. Last edited by bungmonkey; 2008-06-16 at 17:30. |
