Now it's time to wait for 'SE Not!'. But seeing as this chapter was so great I think that will not be dificult. It was more than enough to provide me with my monthly Soul Eater fix. Give me any more and I might become spoiled. I do hope to see some more of Maka and Soul in the upcoming chapters. The gap between her power and that of Kid and Black Star was very noticeable in this arc.

Sure: The Noah that "wanted to collect everything" was just a manifestation of the Book of Eibon's "Greed" chapter. When it was blasted to tiny bits by Kid, the Books' Table of Contents created a new Noah from the Book's "Wrath" chapter.

well spin-off doesnt mean it has to be part of the main story timeline, so i say forget about why Sid and Medusa is in this new Soul Eater manga, a spin-off is simply an alternative story imo

lol yea tbh I get why why anyone would think "alternate universe" considering we have Maka, BS, Sid(when he was alive) and Medusa(only mentioned) show up, seems like it just takes place before the main story.

Long live Tezca Tlipoca the craziest character in all of Soul Eater - and Noah too I guess! From what I can tell Crona hasn't gotten much stronger since Black Star kicked his ass. Which is relevant because I gives me an idea on how strong the Russian Death Scythe is. I wonder if the Russian Death Scythe is the head of East-Europe or West-Asia, Russia is a part of both continents after all, though Moscow is definitely in the European part of Russia. Regardless It's pretty bold of Medusa to try and assassinate him. When she ordered Crona to fight a Death Scythe for the first time (v.s. Stein and Spirit) she was close enough to save Crona's buttocks before Crona was killed or captured. But she doesn't seem near enough to provide any assistance this time. Learning about the madness of knowledge was neat and reminiscent of H.P. Lovecraft's work. Really Index (ToC) might be the other GOO that the GOO in the book talked about instead of Excalibur. Since Index didn't say anything about the madness that Excalibur represents. I loled at Gopher's face once he met Wrath but why does Gopher have to be so gay? I also laughed uncontrollably once I saw Tezca's 'disguise'! Tezca really is one of the few characters that can be categorized as 'Chaotic Awesome' and I love him for it! Now it's time to wait for 'SE Not!'. But seeing as this chapter was so great I think that will not be dificult. It was more than enough to provide me with my monthly Soul Eater fix. Give me any more and I might become spoiled. I do hope to see some more of Maka and Soul in the upcoming chapters. FlareKnight User of the "Fast Draw" Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Canada	Spoiler for Chapter 82: Well good to see that Tezca Tlipoca survived, though really his idea of disugises is pretty messed up . Not to mention even his allies aren't sure what his intentions were. Still things should work out alright if he's alive. A pretty crazy move by Medusa to continue evolving Crona's power via this attack. Of course almost no ability by Shibusen to support the Russian DeathScythe against this so in some ways a smart move. Think Noa just being crazy or a representation from inside the book was a bit of a surprise. Was expecting something bigger, but by the end he just seemed really messed up. Still it did lead to a great combination attack from Black Star, Kidd, and Maka. Really shows how much they've all grown during the series. __________________ Anime-Evo

There was something that felt really anticlimatic about Tezca's and Noah's deaths, and now we know why... Tezca's death was just a fake out so that he could track down Justin; it could be that the only reason Justin stay with noah as long as he did was because he knew Tezca would track him to the kishin, but now Tezca will be able to follow him... and using the most awesome disguise!... and Noah wasn't the real villain afterall. It seems the book itself, or the table of contents Was the true villain in all this... A nice surprise that Noah was just the embodiment of Greed and was created just so the book could obtain the brew. And now we got a new noah, this one embodying wrath. And we got the reveal of another death sythe, unless i'm forgetting, i believe he would be the 6th (7th if we include Soul)... A russian who is some kind of mace or ball and chain. And he looks like a cosmonaut =p Though i am a bit conflicted with his appearance... Loosing his life to crona would feel kind of cheap; it's like, "i want to kill someone powerful to make crona look awesome but i don't want to kill one of my pre-established characters"... On the otherhand it really does feel like crona should score some kind of hardcore victory, since I don't recall the last time she won a fight Also I just love that last pic of crona for some reason... made a sig, but can't decide on my favorite Spoiler for sig:

Guess that and mention of medusa proves that this is undoubtably a prequel spin off. We got some cameo's but not sure what to expect in the future since some characters didn't enter the scene till the present manga storyline. It seems this series will show us the beginning of the life of a DWMA students life as a weapon and meister, which could be interesting... Really weird how one guy could transform everything but his head. Though I kind of wish the main character Halberd could have gone through a similar phase of only partial transformations; hell if her last name wasn't halberd it could have been a nice little mystery trying to find out what kind of weapon she was, since for a while we would only get to see bits and pieces. Though it's kind of funny how there's a psuedo love-triangle thing going on between the 3 girls; except instead of love its picking a weapon and partner. I hope it's somethign that the series will play with and not settle in all that too soon. Y'know keep us guessing... And since this series involves following beginners, we can expect them to see the common evil human target to be a serious threat and any common witch to feel impossible to beat, never mind a witch like medusa. It's interesting since the regular series started us at a point were the human targets were easy pickings and only those on a witches level were a threat Not as epic as the current manga, but it seems like a nice start __________________ My Deviantart Last edited by Slayerx; 2011-01-17 at 22:59.
