If you can stand some kookiness and silly 70's super robot elements, and some really bad animation at times (see my avatar), then the TV series is a much better bet. Just way more character development and interaction than the movies.

Question: When 00 Gundam fires it's GN Sword II rifle, does it use both the top and bottom nozzle or do they fire seperately like Kyrios's and Arios's beam submachine gun?
I was just thinking this because a single shot from it blasted apart an Ahead in episode 2 and I was wondering if both nozzles fired at the same time to combine the beam to make it strong enough to do that much damage. Unless it's just the huge GN Particles Output from the Twin Drive System compressed into one nozzle and then fired. If it is, that GN Sword II is quite powerful. P.S. Are Livonse's groupies all guys?

While the angle of the shot isn't made clear, so far 00 has only fired from the upper barrel (freeze framing confirms this, although it shows the strange fact that the beam actually bends....). There's no reason to believe that it can't fire from the second barrel though.

Having said that you will be obviously missing references, to a point where you might not be able to follow a conversation or you have no idea who some of the characters are. |

Its possible but not recommended. Aside from the returning characters and so forth, Zeta assumes that the viewers are knowledgeable about the UC settings and technologies, and if you watch it by itself it tends to get confusing (heck, its already confusing enough for people familiar with the settings with all the Newtype stuff), which is enough to turn viewers off.

Does anyone know if there will be more Gundams coming out this season besides Nena's gundam and Ali's "unit"?
I am hoping for some back up at least. Federation and Celestial Being both have GN technology now. Celestial Being was barely able to handle 30 GN-Xs and Alvatore with seven Gundams, the Trans-Am System and support equipment. I'm sure an army of Ahead's and GN-XIII's with support carriers will be a lot tougher even with 4 Gundams (5 if you include Nena's unit) with special abilities (Trans-Am System, Twin drive System, etc.), the 0 Riser, and an armed support carrier (what were they thinking making Ptolemaios unarmed over 4 years ago?).
