I’m still in shock from what I have just witnessed so you may have to bare with me a little.
The only good thing about this episode was that Animeheaven actually stated at the beginning that this was the worst episode ever. And they were correctomondo!
I don’t even know where to start. Seriously this episode was so shit it was a struggle just trying to finish it.
I used to think Sasuke’s little “Humph” was quite cool, but not anymore, it was so over used.
In fact the most enjoyable (Least irritating) Char to watch was Sakura!
And the re-usage of scenes was just appalling and damn right lazy!
Not once did I laugh during this down right unforgivable disastrous attempt of an episode. Edit: I am laughing now though.

It has absolutely no right what-so-ever to take up any space of my hard-drive./DELETED/

Oh and one more thing, I know it was a filler but to have !__?__! As a forehead protector!? Wtf…

Its fun to see characters out of their element sometimes, and this whole episode was about one thing, fun. And I loved the questionmark ninjas, so they couldn't be identifiable to any country in the show/manga.

I loved this episode, had me laughing a few times, esp. Sasuke's line "Damn right, I'm a ninja genius." Classic.

And it looks like the next episode will be introducing the rumored new character that's supposedly going to be in this arc, I'm definitely exicited about next week.

FUCK IT. When watching this episode I stumbled upon my opinion, and found that this episode was a new form of shit. The fact that Kakashi, Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, and those three morons were all retards in this episode is proof that Naruto is turning into a child's show. So my conclusion is that the Naruto team is fucking up and Japanese humour suck too much ass.
Sigh................. you come home, grab a drink, turn on Naruto and are in awe as the episode slaps you in the face. Naruto was better off skipping a week. I'm so fucking pissed off

Its okay, it happens. I've had times like that myself.

To me this episode was like a last hurrah for Team 7 before the new arc begins with the new guy, and it was a pretty funny last hurrah imo.

The series creators decided to poke a little fun at their own creation (anyone who can't see the sarcasm in the !__?__! bandanas needs to be run over by a Hummer), and the poor Narutards can't handle it. You crybabies are the reason that people like Indo get laughed at for watching anime.

This was just a comic relief episode Almost like hte anime people were jsut doing a little parody episode.

I don't think it will knock it off the manga track just dlying it a bit till the current manga arc finishs.

Notice in the Episode nothing of substance happened IE Circumstances at the end of the episode are the same as the circumstances at the begining.

THis episode really could have gone in at just about any time during the naruto series really if you think about it I think it would most fit between the episodes where they got to be come genin and before the mist country. Think of this as like episode 8.5 or so and it works out a little better hehe.

I found it entertaining hehe and it won't hurt the over all story line it is just a paordy episode I knew you people on this fourm would be freaking out over it as soon as I saw it lol

Edit: now that I think about it really they could have just called the episodes for the next couple weeks Naruto the Lost Missions Before the Chuunin exam. A little bit of memories of the good ol times (from their perspective) before things get all serious again.

I like whoppers. I also liked this episode, it was funny and had the Kakashi/ramen girl gag from the manga special I had already heard about. Why did the ramen guy blush though? ;p There were definately some worse episodes than this, so the translation was wrong as far as I'm concerned.

i still stand by what i say in that it was a cheap episode, but it was still amusing. those saying it really sucked and whatever, well you have to remember this entire episode was tongue in cheek, with the crow repeating (I wonder if it was an actual translation) that this is the worst episode ever. It was mean to be a complete comic relief filler. Next we have an arc of missions I think.

As for how they get back to the top of the hospital, it won't very difficult, it's not exactly a huge chasm or difficulty. I mean Naruto only has to piss Sasuke off, or Sasuke needs to lose his rag for him to challenge Naruto to a fight.

It'll get back on track very, very easily, just don't see any of the next episodes as part of the main story, and they will be duller than usual, with perhaps some peaks, but they are fllers and when the story gets back on track you'll be praising it again.

also probably not fair to tell people to go kill themselves (humour as it is) if they didn't like this episode. Naruto is not totally great, or totally poor, it has its ups and downs, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Okay, this was dumb. I actually read the special manga chapter ages ago. For those who haven't, the only part that was in the manga was the part where they first treated Kakashi and the prodding of Sasuke before that (in short, the special was... short) The actions done by the characters were completely embellished (Sasuke wiggling? Never in my bloody life...) and the characters were completely OUT of character. I'm not making sense here, so I'll clarify:

Manga: Trying to uncover Kakashi's face; in character.

Anime: Trying to uncover Kakashi's face; Tea Country Ninjas out for revenge; Sasuke acting like Naruto; out of character.

You know, I'll be especially glad if this isn't even based on a timeline; that way, it can be said it's AU filler, and not filler trying to add to the timeline. I watched AH's version. Even though I had to force myself through the episode (MAYBE there was something salvageable, or so I thought at the time), the funniest thing by far was the commentary AH put beside Aho (idiot). Whenever a crow appeared, you'd hear "Worst Episode Ever! Ever!" and then "Ever!" any other time. That was hilarious. Why couldn't the anime team be that creative? So far, they're batting at 33% for the straight-up filler (Konohamaru's ep is the only good one out of the last three). And I never thought a filler could be worse than episode 97 (and 97 wasn't that bad, I might add), but I was wrong, and I have the Naruto anime staff to thank for that correction of rational thought.

I give up. I'm ranting and it's causing me to lose brain cells to try and speak coherently after that monstrosity.
