I've only lived in the US so far, spending no more than a week in any foreign country.
I will be moving to a Hispanic nation (likely Guatemala, with Peru as a second choice) and Japan for a period of one to several months each for language schools. I hope to do this in the next year to two years. Depending on what doors open up, later I may stay in either place for a more extended period of time. |

I've lived in the Czech Republic (2 years) and in Germany (17 years) so far.
I absolutely won't stay here though, I plan to move to Australia, the US or Japan as soon as possible. I am unsure of where to settle down then yet but I'll visit as many places as I can.

I suppose it depends on what you define by "living." Due to being in the military, "living" is a state of transitory nature...I'll just list all the countries I've spent more than a week in and let you decide.
Greece - 1 month - technically adult - I adored almost everything about Greece. My favorite memory would either be watching a storm roll in off of Olympus (awesome!) or standing at the place that was once Thermopylae. Going to the temple of Apollo at Delphi was pretty cool too. Turkey - 1 month - adult - Getting drunk and hucking shit off the hotel balcony at the UN Summit Germany - 2 years - adult - Getting wasted and hanging out with the German hotties! Whoooo! Canada - 2 months - adult - Eh...had some fun, but nothing in particular springs to mind. Kyrgyzstan - 2 weeks - adult - Getting drunk in a club we shouldn't have been in, hooking up with some Russian girls we shouldn't have talked to, winning 3,500 bucks at a roulette table run by the Russian mob (and having one of them buy me a drink), and scoring with the chick running the wheel...all in all it was two of the best weeks of my life. I know it's too short to say I lived there...but I had to mention it, just because it was so awesome. Qatar - 6 months (in progress) - adult - very little...this place is boring as all hell...it might be more interesting if we could do anything... I also spent about two weeks living just outside London with some friends...it was pretty cool. Everywhere else I've been hasn't been long enough to be concidered living there. |
