Yes, I wonder what AGE-1 would run off as well on whether its going to be something with unlimited operation time like a nuclear fusion plant or at least a long lasting nuclear fission plant or whether it might run on something with limited power, like energy batteries or some sort of fuel. And then there's the question on whether the power generated and the propulsion method is directly related, and so on and so on.
For the moment, I'm kinda getting the idea that AGE might not be elaborating its mecha as much as 00 vibe but I'm really hoping I would be wrong. Nothing in the AGE-1 HG that translators have enough of an interest to do yet. then again HG aren't always elaborative. Maybe we'll get more in the 1/100 manuals. Hydrogen engine for the Desperado seems to be mostly what we got so far. I too won't be surprised if it turns out that the Genoace also use them. Would really be interested to know how the beam is formed though, if they ever decide to elaborate on it at least.

I'm waiting for AGE-3....
AGE-1 reminds me too much of Original Gundam and Strike which is still fresh in my mind. AGE-2 reminds me too much of 00 and that just ended... While AGE-3 reminds me of ZZ and that never gets the love it deserves for all the firepower it has. |

They're... lights. Nothing really unusual about them every since Gundam SEED put colorful lights on the linear catapults. There's absolutely nothing from that image to claim it's an energy recharge mechanism of somekind, especially since we don't even know what the AGE-1 runs on.
I do contend that the chest on the G-Exes resembles the Shining Gundam much.

Alright, G-Exes looks cool. Might be my favorite AGE resign thus far. A nice simple white protypeish color shceme too.
And of course, most likely Ebikawa's handiwork. It has that Reborns and 1 Gundam feel to it. The word G also suggests to me it might be derived from the Gundam somehow. I won't be surprised if Wolf pilots it given the color scheme. AGE's mecha designs just keep getting better and better. Quote:
