Well, if you can sit thru this 2 and 3/4 min of Higurashi laughter (no fastforwarding, turning down volume or looking at anything else), I'll give you a cookie!

Spoiler for Huge spoilers for entire series of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni:

Your video was harder than the one from kyon.haruhi.suzumiya ( less repetition.)

I passed both, what do I get?

The Matt Damon one was a lot harder though, considering it has what, 3 loops? On the other hand, tt helped that I was laughing 'til halfway through at the absurdity of it. The Higarushi one I was just wondering what kind of spoilers I got myself into, and wow, that green haired girl sure laughs a lot doesn't she?

Ahahahahah-Mad Demon-ahahaha-Matt-haha-*cough*

The word you're looking for is manic. The word I'm looking for is spoilerific, if you can count that as a word.

Unfortunately, for a video with so much laughing, it wasn't at all funny and this thread is supposed to spark funny laughs. Please someone, bring us back on topic by giving us humor.

^ Yep... Sadly, I had much more laughs in the weird cosplay section, even though most of them were taken from one site.

I know people have different tastes in humor, but....

Chinese 'classical poem' was brothel ad

Science journal mistakenly uses flyer for Macau brothel to illustrate report on China

Quote:
A respected research institute wanted Chinese classical texts to adorn its journal, something beautiful and elegant, to illustrate a special report on China. Instead, it got a racy flyer extolling the lusty details of stripping housewives in a brothel.

Chinese characters look dramatic and beautiful, and have a powerful visual impact, but make sure you get the meaning of the characters straight before jumping right in.

There were red faces on the editorial board of one of Germany's top scientific institutions, the Max Planck Institute, after it ran the text of a handbill for a Macau strip club on the front page of its latest journal. Editors had hoped to find an elegant Chinese poem to grace the cover of a special issue, focusing on China, of the MaxPlanckForschung journal, but instead of poetry they ran a text effectively proclaiming "Hot Housewives in action!" on the front of the third-quarter edition. Their "enchanting and coquettish performance" was highly recommended.

The use of traditional Chinese characters and references to "the northern mainland" seem to indicate the text comes from Hong Kong or Macau, and it promises burlesque acts by pretty-as-jade housewives with hot bodies for the daytime visitor.
And the cover is here.

Spoiler for the HUGE COVER. 56k warning.:

Well, this is funny, seeing as how I spent my last 2 weeks in Macau and HK.
I saw the flyer too. You know, in Macau, anything on red paper can be suspicious, but seeing as I can read Chinese well, it's not a problem for me, though I was bringing a goup of Japanese students on a tour... (although they're the students taking Chinese classes, I'm not sure whether they got this papers...) When you do get such flyers, just walk off, it's OK to do it in Chinese-speaking communities.

Too bad, people can't see past the early character designs of One Piece, it has amazing comedy. And its been 10 years, the character designs improved and its still hilarious.

I handpicked some non spoilerish and easy to understand humour parts:

It was not easy, but had time to waste.

Double the time, and you could use that as a sleeping drug.
