According to the Lucky Star Hompage, You can pre-order a special Lucky Star "Okiraku Box" (Big Luck?) to be released in 9/26/2007. Two are planned: Konata and Kagami versions.

In these boxes you'll find these items:

☆ Kagami or Konata figurine designed and supervised by Yoshimizu Kagami Sensei. 10cm tall each.

☆ A booklet called "Okiraku Guidebook" featuring Konata or Kagami

Now I don't know about you, but I'm definately getting these. Yeah they're really tiny but I like them that way. I know Amazon.jp doesn't ship figures internationally, but these appearantly count as books. So I just did my pre-order. They took it and will ship on 9/28/07.

EDIT: According to Amazon, the Kagami-sama box is ranked at #11 and Kona-chan box is ranked at #14. It's pretty AMAZING to see pre-orders ranked so high! And Kagami-sama is beating kona-chan! Tsundere'ko rulez!!!

well... yeah, you can order figurines from cdjapan.co.jp or www.hlj.com or even amazon.co.jp.

But you usually have to pre-order, don't know if any of these are available anymore.

When you're figure shopping, you have to browse sites regularly to pre-order (or get on their mail list) --- pre-orders do have a limited window.
Note: when ordering figurines, expect to have it shipped via registered and for it to cost up to 50% of the figure's cost.

I actually kind of regret not pre-ordering those particular ones (though I'd want a Tsukasa and a Mikuru as well).... but I'm all tapped out thanks to "conspiratorial appliance mass-suicide" (television, stove, toaster, and automobile muffler all in one week).

I don't remember if I mentioned this before, but I was so sad (T__T) when hlj e-mailed me saying that the L*S phone straps I ordered are being listed as discontinued. It'd been so long since I ordered them that the credit card I used to make the order had expired, so I guess it's all OK.

ya know, "Risa" ... my namespace in my head is reallly getting worse I think. I just grab any name that resides near the correct item apparently.

I don't think amazon.co.jp takes paypal (????) just debit/credit. It does have buttons that display the page in "english" but since a lot of text is in imagery, its only somewhat helpful.

Thus far, the OST is being released in small bits spread out over CDs that are half Lucky Star BGM and half Lucky Channel radio show, which are named, appropriately enough, "Luck Star OST & Radio Bangumi". Two such CDs have been released so far (and *ahem* spread to the masses by Nipponsei).

This is the only part of the merchandizing blitz that's really bothered me. I wonder if I'd mind as much if I could understand more of what's going on in the corresponding LC segments.

Just to clarify, each DVD volume includes the corresponding OST CD. The Haruhi soundtrack was released in a similar fashion.
