It is strange to see posts that mention Linkin Park's Minute to Midnight as one of the best of the year. After I saw its rating at 2 stars out of 5 at all music guide, I haven't even tried to listen to the album, considering it as a waste of effort (as I can dedicate to much better reviewed albums, above 4 stars).

PS: You were right about not listening to Minutes to Midnight, it sucks (well, surprise, surprise; it's Linkin Park after all).

you guys must listen to some obscure music or some pretty tame stuff to say this isn't a great year for music. i've truely been fascinated with it.
the new radiohead (who i adore) album albeit not their greatest (which i give props to kid a) is fairly decent. it's pretty simplistic and you can tell they followed a lot of what thom did in his solo (which is more electronic based). however, the few ballads on there are breathtaking and a couple tracks rip it up (bodysnatchers and reckoner). but i would say that the most brilliant albums this year (imo) would be: arctic monkeys - favourite worst nightmare; arcade fire - neon bible... i got this really nagging feeling that next year is gonna suck for music... i hope i'm wrong. |
