It's too early to talk about episode 2 in any sort of detail, but their greater speed can be countered by their armor being much weaker, which would also make sense for the reasons that Vallen Chaos Valiant has mentioned. The fighting style of Alexander units seems to be based on parrying or not receiving any hits while maneuvering quickly enough to kill the enemy pilots.

So I found out all the names for the Asura Squad! And I will share for you all! Turns out the one that looks like Lulu is actually a boy! A very pretty one! ^^

Considering the princess from the Oz manga happens to be featured there too, I wouldn't really know if the other new character is going to show up in Akito or not.
Actually, there were a couple of interesting updates to the official site: 1. http://geass.jp/akito/about_geass.html Apparently those two operator girls are explaining some stuff and joking around at the same time. It would be nice to know what they're talking about. 2. http://geass.jp/akito/cd.html There's also more information on the soundtrack and the first drama CD, now including the track list and cover(s). For the OST: Quote:
And they're doing the special advance screenings on August 31st, so expect spoilers to come out around that time. |

http://www.koi-nya.net/2013/05/25/la...frir-retrasos/ (it's in Spanish translate to English) apparently according to this the delays was because of the fact they are trying out new animation for the series and they will get out the last two quicker than they did with this one.
Also I remember reading an interview with the director (can't find it) where he admitted that the original plan for the ova was to have a European main character but he changed it to a Japanese one to once again make the whole thing about the Japanese (when we had the main series for that) which is annoying really as personally I wish the series had shown the other areas under Britannian control and show the Japanese aren't the only ones suffering, and they aren't the only ones who have lost their country, but I suppose since this is anime it's to be expected. |

The problem with the show was that they didn't really show much of the other places or really explain much of them really (well in a way that I would have liked) like how the high eunuch's run the country etc. , They never really showed the Britannian homeland just the palace and Pendragon, (they didn't show anything of life in the homeland with the common people though it's probably the same as it was in Japan) , put it down to the rushed pacing of R2 among it's other problems it had. Plus they never explained what Geass was and why it exists (again put it down to them rushing the plot and neglecting sub plots).
The main thing in Akito is that you don't seem to see many Europeans who aren't racist to the Japanese, apart from Leila and she is a Britannian (even her boss calls the Japanese elevens) and why they are racist doesn't seem to make much if any sense (according to the Code Geass wiki it has something to do with the eu being at war for years and the refugee's numbers being big) it just felt overblown to me as the anime did at times but that's just my opinion. Anyways looking forward to the second episode of Akito, hopefully we will learn more about Leila as she seemed more interesting than Akito was. I reckon most of episode two will go on the euro Britannians, Code Geass always seemed to have the Britannians be more interesting overall. |

Large areas of Paris have rundown buildings or unfinished/abandoned construction work. I'd say the economy seems to be having some trouble, so it makes enough sense. Leila's boss isn't particularly racist though. He simply seems to be quite pragmatic and cynical about the situation rather than laughing or gloating about it. Quote:
