Well now things are getting interesting. Have located the Kishin on the Moon and Justin has been spotted by Maka as well. Setting up for a couple major conflicts at the same time.

Surprised to hear Kid openly say (well just to Soul and Maka) that Black Star is the strongest in Shibusen right now. Though considering the training with Stein and the growth with the spirit inside Tsubaki it's not too much of a surprise that his strength is right up there at the moment. Of course Kid isn't going to sit around and will do his best to pass by him again.

Makes sense that Maka is the one who has to face against Chrona one more time. Though with Chrona's mental state it's going to be dangerous. Not to mention a reaction with the blood inside of Soul is more than possible.

Anyways a good chapter to move the story along and set up for some crazy conflicts.

so the strongest meister currently in Shibusen is Black Star

I want to see a full fight of DeathScythe against Kishin but prefer if Soul-Maka are the one who deals finishing move....

Maybe they will defeat Chrona and then go to fight Asura (leave Justin to Kid or Black Star)

I tried reading Soul Eater NOt for few chapters, where is it in the parent story?

With Medusa confirm dead, I hesitated a moment to drop this series, but lets hope she planned out her death to boost Crona further into power.

All the Death Gods are going to the Moon to kill Krishin, Death Kid might even get a upgrade, which means Black Star will too

We got the reveal of the last two death sythes
... Still it bugs me how we get a lack of powerful meisters to go along with these weapons; they seem to get much less attention. Though we are still waiting on Maka's mother to make an inevitable appearance.

Though there is a bit of debate all signs say that soul eater not takes place before the main storyline

The new meister and weapon that showed up in the chapter that will be joining in the mission are Akane and Clay who are secondary characters from Soul eater Not

Its in Medusa's last words
Medusa: "You have thrown away the last thing you relied on, and now the black blood is complete"

Crona had detached herself from the academy and maka and as such Medusa was the last thing Crona was relying on... cutting away all those ties was apparently a necessary step to complete the black blood. This is why medusa showed some spontaneous affection for crona in the hope that crona would reject it and then slay her.

Yeah, so having Akane and Clay show up was a nice tie-in between the two series. Not to mention how they appear to have taken several levels in badass in the interim.

Spoiler for Medusa is dead, Tezca killed her:

This is just a thought, so bear with me for a moment. Medusa was doomed from the moment she fled Baba Yaga's Castle. She had been reflected in Tezca's mirror and as such it is fair to assume that Shibusen-operatives had been attacking her during the time skip between Baba Yaga’s Castle-arc and the Spartoi raid on her lair and the attacks on her child, her black clown and herself. If that assumption is correct than she could have guessed Tezca's power and planned her death to speed up Crona's progress because once Shibusen was done with Justin and saving Kid they were going to come for her. So she ended her life, and now even Maka's super-soulperception can't find Crona. Though she found Crona through common sense and as I am writing this I realize that what I have written is highly unlikely.

I liked that:
Atsushi included NOT!'s Akane and Clay into Soul Eater --that was fun to see;
hallucination of Medusa Crona had;
we now know what all the Death Scythes look like;
it doesn't look like Tezca will be passing on very soon.


I didn't like that:
Spirit's comments that he would have rather had a son and his reasoning for that;
Mari's thinking that Stein is has found --or is even looking for-- a place to die;
Eruka confirmed Medusa's death;
that it feels like Soul Eater is going to end soon --it's too soon.

Oh man, I hope it does end soon. I really love the anime and manga but it's tearing me up waiting to see what happens lol. It has been such a nice journey, and considering the large cast of characters I'm really impressed how well balanced everyone's time on set was.

In some ways I prefer the anime cause it's not too long/effective, the animation aspect, and that everyone turned out Okay.

The manga is awesome though too because :

The plot twists were cool to see. Justin betraying the academy, Joe (that's his name, right?) dying, a deeper yet more twisted elaboration of Crona's story, Black Star, Kid, and Maka's powers increasing. I just think overall its deeper than the anime, but in some ways it makes it emotionally hard for me to keep track of.

I'm trying to mentally switch back and forth between anime and manga, for whatever the reason is I wanna dwell on it XD

Simplicity and Beauty= Anime
Depth and Darkness= Manga

Anyways, just a little rant.

That I can understand, for me the anime always had it's own charm and worked in it's own way and despite it's ending or what anyone said I throughly enjoyed the anime. It was very good series.

Not sure if it's cause of the monthly waits or just how the manga feels.
Don't think I'd like to see it end soon tho, still feel like we got some ways to go before I start thinking it should end.

And you're right. This isn't the end, but more like the beggining of something really big. Plus there're still so many loose ends to tie.

Soul Eater won't be ending until Tsubaki, Liz & Patty become Death Scythe, among many other things.

I have the feeling Spirit may die in this battle, which could finally lead to the arrival of Maka's mother.
