need a new dvd player for my computer

I just got a new computer. It's a Gateway and my current DVD player on it is Windows Media Center. I downloaded the Avi Gurren Lagann episode 1 and my player doesn't play it for some reason. Do you know of any free player I can download? Or I might just torrent one if that doesn't work. Thanks in advance.

Did you...... install the CCCP codec package?

You might also want to use the Media Player Classic that comes with the CCCP pack.

This is also the wrong thread ---> see the technical forums (downloads, playing files, etc)

I'll keep that in mind next time I make a thread like this. What is the CCCP codec package?

google is your friend... but its a combined codec pack installation that will let your software handle most any video file you care to watch.

download, install, just leave the settings alone, and enjoy.
