I started getting into Hakuoki lately. I'm a sucker for samurai anime and several voice actors I like are in this.

The new series is ok, but I get the feeling Ryu ain't living until the end.

I started watching the original series awhile back but stopped when I heard it got licensed.

Like I said previously, no Hakuouki Reimeiroku this week.
According the anime's twitter, next week we will have episode 5 and 6!

This is a bonus poster that will be included with Hakuoki Reimeiroku DVD/BD Vol 1. made by Kazuki Yone herself

And Hakuouki first two seasons will be dubbed for the Sentai release. Cast not listed yet.

Um, I just finished watching episode 5 on CR. Maybe CR didn't get the no episode memo?

Wow, Serizawa sure had some interesting methods of "borrowing" money.
A girl appears & saves Ryunosuke in a pinch (as usually someone does) LOL
Turns out she was just returning him a favor..
Damn, that Ryunosuke is pretty clueless on proper etiquette.
No wonder trouble is his middle name.
The showcase matches had some interesting pairs.
It was pretty cool to watch ^^
So, they are finally building up to what they became later on.

Seems like only a couple of TV stations didn't show the episode.

Was disappointed with the fights, they were so short in time and budget. Missed Shinpachi's explanations of the techniques used during the matches.

I'm not sure of this but I think that Kosuzu got upset with Ryunosuke in the game because he implied that Kosuzu slept with men and a maiko doesn't do that.
It makes more sense that she got upset with this than what it was said in the anime.

The preview suggests that they'll be using the translations of fury and Water of Life for the terms rasetsu and ochimizu like in the English version of Hakuoki.

Looks like the experiments finally begun.
Serizawa sure made a mess of things when agreeing to experimentation.
Guess he was just power hungry like any other greedy leader.
The first rasetsu fight was pretty intense.
Their surprise and shock were pretty big.
Ryunosuke was as wimpy as always... that kid is hopeless.
I'm glad Roshigumi disagreed with the whole experimenting thing, but there wasn't much they could do about it.
It's pretty sad actually... to go to such extremes.
Recruiting healers to improve it was just another step towards more trouble.
Okita's behavior is degrading more and more every minute he spends hanging out around Serizawa.

Last two episodes were pretty good:

Enjoyed Sanosuke teaching Ibuki that women aren't hos.

Hijikata realizing that he's fucked, though he can't stand Serizawa.

Was the real life Okita a sociopath who likes to kill? Because this version of Okita lieks to let his freak flag fly by offing sumo wrestlers(wut). He reminds me of the smiling faced kid in Rurouni Kenshin.

Every female looks like Chizuru.

And Ibuki is officially the worst character on this show. Goddamn he's even useless.....

and I just realized that Harada's VA is the same guy who voiced Gin Ichimaru...

Episode 7 raw is out.

Spoiler for episode 7:

It's been confirmed that Reimeiroku will only be 1-cour, which kind of sucks and explains why everything is so rushed. They only have 4 episodes to cover so many things....
A real shame.

Next episode will cover Saito (finally! his route is my favorite one along with Harada one) who will finally force Ryunosuke to learn how to fight and the woman who is next to Kosuzu in the ending will also make an appearance.

Hijikata getting lectured by Serizawa.
Well, he did say some useful things tough.
Flashback to the old days was nice to watch.
At least we got some new info about the past and Hijikata & Toshi.
Ryunosuke is still a joke... sigh... when will he do something about it?!
The experimenting continues... that sure pissed of Hijikata.
Heisuke vs Rasetsu. Not a pretty sight.
Just one monster and so much trouble..

Heisuke killed a zombie. Heisuke sounds like the one guy on Arcana Famiglia who alway purrs 'BAMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBBBBINNNNNNNNNNNNAAAA'

Next week looks good: Saito helps Ibuki to learn how to swing a sword(about time).

Well damn. I can't decide who I seriously love better....Sanosuke for his total Bro attitude with Ryuunosuke talking about girls, Saito teaching Ibuki to finally do something other than get abused by Serizawa or Shinpachi for being too damn nice for his own good.

Quite enjoyed Saito/Souji's first meeting. I like Saito, but sometimes it's hard to reconcile the fact that I think of Saito as the BAMF from Rurouni Kenshin

Serizawa totally either beat the shit out of that chick or killed her...

Only thing bad: Not enough sexy Hijikata posturing.

Bern-san Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2009	Episode 7 raw is out. Spoiler for episode 7: Famous "Hijikata, become a demon" scene with Serizawa A bit of Kondou and Hijikata flashback. Kondou represents the dream about being a great samurai that Hijikata had but gave up because it was something impossible for someone who wasn't born in a samurai family. Many Heisuke scenes, with Heisuke's resolve about killing someone. Niimi ignores Hijikata and Sannan and continues his experiments on ochimizu with Yukimura. In the conversation between Kodo and Niimi, Kodo mentions Chizuru. Serizawa continues with his "donations". The guy who was beaten up by him was used by Niimi to try the water of life. And the reason why people like Hijikata route: Yamazaki.
