Rin (Harold Sakuishi)

Fushimi is a high-school student who also aspires to be a mangaka. Rin is a model who appears to have some type of psychic powers. What will happen when these two cross paths?
Mangaka: Harold Sakuishi, His first true follow up to Beck
Magazine: Monthly Shounen Magazine

Started in December and there are currently 3 chapters. Each chapter has been 65 pages long so there is plenty of content already. It appears to have a similar type of humor to Beck but the plot is more similar to Bakuman and it involves spirits.

The 4th chapter has been released and we finally see some interaction between our male and female protagonist. As usual I love the random mma references he puts in. Also I can't believe he is maintaining 60 page chapters

more chapters have been released. The plot seems to be picking up and the chapters are still very long

I can't tell if Rin's friendliness is Harold's clumsiness in showing the start of a romance (like in Beck) or if Rin actually saw something very good in their future.

In any event, this is interesting in some pretty cool aspects.

Rin (Harold Sakuishi)

Written by the mangaka of Beck, this is the story of Fushimi, a guy who dreams of being a mangaka. Along the way, he meets a girl named Rin who has strange powers. Is it coincidence that these two meet, or is there something more?

When I first started reading the series the faces bothered me, but eventually grew on me. After getting through that, I've come to like the series. I like Fushimi's journey to becoming a mangaka, though I didn't like his editor, Mutou, all that much. The sub-plot about Fushimi's sister is sad and depressing. I like his interactions with the other characters. I like Rin and how she handled the bullies at her school. As for Fushimi's manga (I wonder how many other "manga in a manga" series there are), I think it's okay. I feel that it might become a sort of parallel to the story at some point, but that's just a feeling.

Just read the latest chapter. So Rin is the hell route or is it a matter of interpretation...?

Neither. She's his muse. It just so happens that she comes packet with quite a bit of complications.

Asuna is the route to hell, but it's a comfortable hell with less complication, so Norito might end up wishing he chose this route. Problem is this route leads to stagnation.

That's what Lu-san was warning him about. Asuna is a comfortable hell while Rin is a rocky heaven.

Does this mean Lu-san is the best choice?

Maybe that's what she'd like to think.

But seriously, I don't think there's an actual choice. Norito will ultimately go for the girl he likes, regardless of what's most convenient for his work and whatnot. Figuring this out is part of his character development, I think.
